One thing that could freshen up the game fast is adding things like ladders, a rope mechanic of some sorts would be crazy too. And if this game ends up growing and evolves more overall, maybe they could add environmental damage. Also add plant explosives please, because the military is not gunna kick a god damn terrorist's door down sometimes. This game is cool though.
