I feel as though the customization options are extremely limited, and while granted, the game is in very early development, customization helps bring together that immersion that players know and love. Personally, being able to construct our helmet setup, and or vest setup, from scratch, would be golden. Or being able to differentiate the NODs that are placed on our helmets, what kind of helmet we wear, so on so forth.

Character customization is getting an overhaul in the next update, and look at the gun customization too

like there are barely any parts that you cant customize (lower reciever is all i can think of)

i meant moreso the cosmetics,

however, i see what you mean about the gun customization, its the most revolutionzed ive seen in any game
