#Ironclad Chads
1 messages · Page 3 of 1
I mean we will probably get ironclad news every report now, just might be mediocre haha
I wonder if the ironclad and caterpillar gonna be fully functional when ironclad is released. Or is the command module gonna be another 5 years
another 5y if you ask me
im curious what vehicles people are going to haul in it cant decide between a nova, storm, storm aa, and/or a ballista
For it's probably storm aa or ballistas
Also
With IC getting a new elevator and stairs I would guess it's getting close to greybox review
My prediction (copium overdose) the Base releases at IAE and the ICA during ILW with mayhaps the Kraken
I’m hoping we get a tour of the kraken during ILW. Then next year IAE or ILW after that we get the kraken
suprised they started early on the kraken
Most of the assets are from the ironclad. So it’s just gonna be a big ironclad with a flight deck
to early for this years IAE
nah but there is decent chance CIG gonna show concept of reconcepted Kraken at Citizencon
They are probably just adjusting dimensions of the Kraken and adding a medbay
well Kraken does not have alot of internal space compred to other capitals of its size so alittle resizing is expected Pioneer grew what 20%
Kraken by next year would be insane. It just now entered pre-production and with no kits other than the Ironclad to speed it up, a lot of it will be built from the ground up. Im expecting it IAE 2026/ ILW 2027 at the earliest tbh. But dw, Im on the copium overdose too, Pioneer by ILW next year!
well you are assuming Pioneer isnt paused
We actually haven't heard from it in the monthly reports for a while now
You might be on to something
If I make an excel spreadsheet, will you also post that?
Because this isn't some kind of official document from CIG
You don’t even need to do that. Just use some paper and crayons
The years on it do seem like the time they would release it
But hell, they can give us dates for everything. Doesn’t mean it will be out on that exact date
thats true, no updates on in it like 2 months now.
The Roadmap update mentioned Command Modules
THATS FOR CATERPILLAR AND IRONCLAD, NO?!
is it actually for the raptor. gonna be able to move from raptor to raptor 😄
ye
someone remind me, did they ever confirm base ironclad being able to carry tank/spartan variants?
It should. Even if it will fit or not. The entire roof opens up
with fleetviewer i fit 6 spartans in the base
i believe in one of the ironclad assault pictures it shows it carrying 5 nova tanks
4 in the main hold and 1 in the repair bay
and i think i the assaults cargo ramp is a bit wider to make it easier for tanks to get out aswell
not sure though
i meant the ramp being able to take them in, whoops
yeah but most vehicle tractor beams are not strong enough to lift up tanks so if the ramp is arbitrarily smaller than ICA enough that the tank can't get through it's cooked
i know it can fit a lot of them in, that was just piss poor wording from me not specifying i was asking if the ramp would allow it
Ah
no CIG made sure you cannot load nova via ramp so you buy Assult
rly? i don't remember there being concrete information about it, couldn't find any either hence why i asked here
CIG made that room above ramp bigger on base so there is height clerance issue
i mean to me that looks about the same between variants and i don't think cig ever said anything about it
im more worried how will CIG make command module not a wery serious weak spot
Yeah I could see like why would you aim for the armored body if you can aim for the weak command module. But you could probably store extra command modules in the ironclad and just replace them as needed
well best fix is allow piloting from main hull
at that point command module is basically an escape pod bruh
you win some you lose some
Unless they add a shell the command module goes into to be protected.
my guess would be that the command module will be "invincible" as long its connected to the hull
but as soon as the hull is soft dead, the command module will be vulnerable
Nothins confirmed
mate if you think the command module will not be a weakspot you're huffing that pure ass copium
it doesn't matter if cig confirms it or not
if they want to have balance it's gonna be a weakspot
Lmao, mate we have no idea how it's going to be made
Feel like your coping more just by hoping for the worst possible outcome
What information is making you so confident on this
idk man that cig wants to balance the game?
🧑🦯 who knows
Wouldn't be surprised if it's just like any other cockpit until it's disconnected
would rather prefer the ironclad did not have a command module kinda feels like a $500 cutter with a oversized cargo can attachment supposibly it will be interchangeable with the caterpillar drop off the ironclad detach hookup with caterpillar and fly off
at that point might as well just sell the command module and the caterpillar hull and iron clad as attachments
and instead of the modularity of the catipillar just sell diffrent hulls to do diffremt things ie medical cat, cargo cat, torpedo cat ,ironclad cargo, ironclad ship carrier, ironcladd assault
bruh
Once the ironclad comes out, who the hell is gonna switch from an ironclad to caterpillar
Also issue with the whole command module thing, the other ships will have their own on there
Not really any reason to switch the command modules
It's just an escape pod for the foreseeable future
Is the command module gonna have its own components?
yes its fully functional ship when seperated
Tbh
I would take the ironclad rn without the command module feature
nah i want it
would be so useful to detach the command module and use it as a glorified argo tractor
thats what i wish the cat could do rn
I honestly wouldnt mind sacrificing the command module for an early release
I dont think they will have that feature ready before the Pioneer comes out
we'll see
with modularity done i'm copeful for it
it'd be so goddamn useful though to just pop the command module out and use it as a TB
Yeah true I just dont want to waste development time but then again im just eager for a ship 😂
something id love to use
I want to know how we can swap hulls. Like do you call up the command module then you call up either the ironclad or caterpillar or no matter what you bring up, always gonna have the command module on it
Currently kinda pointless to swap if it already has the command module and wastes time if you want to switch from ironclad to caterpillar since you would need to lower one and call one up in the hanger
Is it confirmed to have a tractor beam
The caterpillar has one on the command module, be a bit weird to remove it
Ironclads command module does not have it on concept pics
Why should the ironclad CM have a tractor beam?
It has the 2 s2 on top and the s2 on the arm
it'd be useful
Why?
For what?
Caterpillar has one since there are doors on the module side
Ironclad is front and top
There is no logical reason
for anything that an argo tractor would be useful for
it's a good idea and it should have one
Yeah i mean a flying tractor beam is better in every way really
Especially one that doesnt take up storage space like a Argo lol
exactly
just give me my flying box already 😂
I do want my box but I also kinda want them to release it after IAE so I don’t have to pay for the price increase when it releases
only 1 more year
ironclad will for sure be IAE i bet this year and then kraken IAE next year or invictus 2027 given the timeline of the ironclad
its safe to say perseus for invictus 2026
Ironclads are whitebox review rn
perseus already has a commlink number so its most likely citcon 2955
ironclads need to pass the whitebox review, go through greybox, LODs and then the final touches all in 2 months
Roberts Space Industries is the official go-to website for all news about Star Citizen and Squadron 42. It also hosts the online store for game items and merch, as well as all the community tools used by our fans.
perseus is set for iae this year and ironclad at earliest iae next year
you're out of your mind if you think ironclad will progress from WB review to release at iae while perseus is LOD0
Ironclad ILW2956 Drake Defensecon
The idea behind ironclad at IAE this year is the base ironclad passes all checkmarks and gets pushed while the assault waits till next years IAE because of the amount of work needed with repair station i dont see them making the base model wait while the assault is the one that needs the most work
it's WB review mate
it's not coming out IAE i can tell you that with certainly
unless cig goes "NVM WE LIED IT WAS FINISHED NOT WHITEBOX" for some reason
which i guess they could, but relying on that to say anything more than "it's not impossible" let alone going for sure it'll happen is a reach
look where WB is before you cope again pls
it's not anywhere ready
earliest possible hope is defensecon
TBH im not even sure it will be ready for ILW
it wont
the cope is too hard, i want the ship too but its not gonna happen with it in WB now
ilw is not impossible but i wouldnt hold my breath for anything earlier than iae 26
if they prioritize base before assault, drake con 2956 might be a possibility
its not impossible
but i suspect they are mainly doing stuff for drake kit to use for the ironclad and kraken
maybe we'll finally get a caterpillar gold standard
command module and modules
yea thatd be sick
i might get a caterpillar then
if they just fix the fkn grid and make it half decent
I never really liked the caterpillar since it’s a maze going through and very compact.
they said command module tech probably wont be finished by the time ironclad is released
That's fine, just give the box
yeah hand over my box
forget the command module
im not even truly interested in the detaching idea it just seems "meh"
im alittle worried Ironclad will be only really useful for Hull C trade routes
I got base
Wanna use it with the golem/ RSI salvage starter
And i hope the salvage starter comes soon-ish
RSI slvg with ironclad
Golem with galaxy (refinery)
yes
@digital sigil
peak
Ironchad will reign supreme
Do we have any info / theories on what kinds of "resources" the ICA repair bay would use to provide repairs?
Also what kinds of cool things are y'all going to put in your boxes?
I haven't played in a few months (really since Fleet Week) and so I'm trying to re-hype myself and get current.
Do we have any info / theories on what kinds of "resources" the ICA repair bay would use to provide repairs?
No
my bet is beams
is that a commodity?
wat
beams?
he means repair beam
my theory would be the ICA's floor will act as a pad for ground vehicles to repair/ rearm
ILW 2026 at soonest
If they fail to release the ironclad next year we can be sure then the kraken wont be released till 2028
ILW is 8 months away counting October. Ironclad will surely be done by then and I hope kraken is out of gray box
I would love kraken to be done by ILW since it’s gonna use parts off of the ironclad. And with drake being boxy, should go pretty quick
both the kraken and ironclad are in their greybox state
i suspect by october report ironclad will progress through greybox to its gate review
and imma say its gonna pass greybox in november/ december
Kraken pretty much just entered white box
Oh ye
Kraken whitebox
My bad
But its sure not coming next ilw
An iae release next year could be possible
no
there is an almost non-existent chance we get kraken before 2027
even 2027 is a pretty ideal scenario
2028 is the safe bet 2027 is the hopeful bet
i think Pioneer will give us idea when we will get Kraken
Pioneer is titled as being in active production but we haven't gotten more news on kraken then on pioneer
Or they pulled some unpaid intern and said "do"
And its already done and just waiting for a proper release

nah
kraken is 2028+
kraken is prolly next year if they already started whitebox
wouldnt be shocked if kraken was one of the silhouttes this year at citcon
Kraken will be flyable next year and it will be in the same state the idris is. Just flyable. Hell, they could of at least had the shooting range in the idris working at least but there is just so much non functional things
i mean, you can shoot at the shooting range
they just need to add a target to shoot on
just a plastic or metal thing you normally see at a shooting range
a stationary target
kraken is 2027 at best
idk why everybody thinks it will be so easy to pump out
by volume it's like 4x the polaris and the only kits they have is the IC which is in greybox iirc
Kits from ironclad and drake is very boxy so they don’t have to worry about much curves. Only thing that will take the longest is having the tram and it functioning. I’d say earliest is IAE 2026 and latest ILW 2027
earliest is 2027 ilw if you're really hopeful
or 2027 iae if you're realistic
if cig pulls cig 2028+
i wouldn't bet on 2026 at all
I believe the kraken is out of pre-production and in production
It also seems that the new studio is ramping up so they now have a larger team available to work on it. We will find out if it’s IAE next year at citcon silhouettes ig
I feel like they held out on alot of the interior functionality until SQ42 release
Their monthly thing they said it’s in whit box phase
yeah its no longer in pre-production
its officially in production on white box
its "production", not "active" or "longterm"
but its most likely gonna be "active" with a citcon teaser
Maybe someone who understands ships better can explain to me, but the ironclad saying it has 4 shields, does that mean it will have super tanky shields? Or is there sizes or something to shields?
will have 4 S3 shield. which currently should just be total hp shields but eventually they are gonna have it to where when one goes down the next one comes online until they are all down
there are sizes
but ships can also have multiple of the same size
I don’t remember what phase the ironclads are in but I hope we get them in January >o>
Naaah
They are just hitting their white box gate review this month
Ilw or iae next year at the earliest
How long does it take to make a big shoe box with engines on it?
And majority of the ship is just cargo space
As long as they need, don't know about you but I have high expectations for the ironclad
It's been pretty slow so far tbh, although I know they like slowly diverted people to working on it, maybe it will speed up
Kinda skeptical for ilw at this rate
Ironclad is gonna be my daily til my kraken gets release. Which kraken will probably have ironclad as a loaner to replace the C2 and caterpillar so I’d have 3
Ironpillar? Caterclad?
i doubt IAE because that would push kraken back to 2027 IAE
True, I could see it at Invictus 2027 tho or in 2028
Who knows for that dang thing lol
lol atleast its not the banu
Ironkraken, the top is a run way
Yeah 👊😞 people hold on to that just cuz they got a big ship for cheap, not worth melting in a way
ill be honest the shiv reminds me of a drake knock off
Literally is a Drake knock off haha
like some anorexic version of the cutlass
they legit said naw we need it skinny and faster
lol XD
clad's been in production for some time now anyways, i think ilw is totally possible
I’d say for that monthly report was probably extremely close to end of white box. They gonna need the assets from it for the kraken and it wouldn’t make sense to put kraken into production if they didn’t have all the assets for it. So hope next month report the ironclad is in the middle of gray box
i think its outdated tho
it was made literally a few days ago
its fan made
not saying its bad its just info we have from CIG is that devs changed interior layout for easier movement aroound it. Render is using original layout we were shown
Gotta get some fingerless ironclad gaming gloves to fly the ironclad
The Drake Ironclad is not coming out in 2025, and this fact has been escaping much of the Star Citizen community all year. Today we'll be taking a look at the year-long denial, why the hype is so strong for this ship in the first place, and when it may really be coming.

If next monthly report doesn’t have ironclad in gray box, we riot
When did they start working on the ironclad?
they moved some people onto the ironclad team in june with the traversal update aka elevator and such in July
June: Moved people to ironclad team
July: worked on traversal
August: IC & ICA Whitebox review
September: IC, ICA & Command module going to Whitebox Review
i think they passed whitebox and now entered greybox
i would say they are passing greybox in december/ january
with them releasing next ILW
also this years ILW Drake did not "attend" but said something big is coming
dunno if they mean the log in the toilet or the ironclads
I’m 99.89% sure it’s in gray box since they started production on the kraken and the assets will be used for it
You talking about beginning of this year ILW? This was the first year they got invited to ILW. For next years, I hope it’s ironclad release with kraken shell to be able to look at its size and test what ships can land on top
They didn't get invited
They just didn't do def con
They asked for their ships to be out available for the last days
Since they couldn't host
No defense con because they got invited
Drake DefenseCon is an event organized by Drake Interplanetary to promote themselves as a tagalong of the Invictus Launch Week.
The event was created in 2950 by Drake after repeatedly not being invited to Invictus Week. It is meant as a tool to showcase the contribution and solutions in defense of Drake Interplanetary to militias and security o...
my fault but they still didnt make a display hall
I don’t remember if they did or not. I briefly walked around
just saw this in this years ilw calendar thingi
that was the reason i thought drake didnt attend
basically told em to stick it up their bums
When I seen that next year they are coming back bigger and badder, I was really hoping we would get the kraken. Since ironclad isn’t really bigger or badder than the idris. But I am hoping for the kraken to be sitting there
probably both ironclad and kraken
7 months away. If they get the ironclad finished in 2-3 months and by then kraken might be gray box. Take the crew that was working on the ironclad to help finish the kraken. Would be the fastest capital ship they would pump out of production
i mean drake ships dont really need that much detail
just put random pipes and cables on the walls
Yeah. Boxy like. I kinda wish the command module was added later in time, would probably had the ironclad by now for IAE. What’s killing the production time and is probably a buggy mess. Ironclad is just a shoebox with a big garage door on top. Can’t get any simpler than that
I am curious if I could sign an NDA just so i can watch the production process of the ironclad and kraken
same
Fr lol
Ironclad would have been paused regardless tho, they shut her down to get everything done for last iae
Then trickled team members back to it
But I would be happy to wait for the pilot module lol
It will only really matter when survival after ship death matters, engineering will come before harsher death features, so it would make more sense to repair the ship, than eject the command module. Or at least die trying
Anyone know if the ironclad will become the loaner for the kraken? Do they upgrade loaners like that?
dont think so
the general loaner for capitals is the polaris and a ship that is close to price/ role of the ship
I’m sure they’ll remove the C2 and caterpillar loaner and have the ironclad as a loaner since the ironclad can do everything and more compared to both C2 and caterpillar
With that logic we should have the idris as a loaner since it’s way more of an aircraft carrier than Polaris. But they really want the idris to be limited. I’m sure it’s gonna be Polaris, ironclad, and buccaneer loaners for kraken
i think they have stated that the polaris is universal capital loaner and will not change
Yeah since it’s the smallest capital but kraken has multiple loaners. Not just Polaris
C2 and cat should be replaced with IC
when did they say that? thats stupid
make kraken loaner idris or i arasaka tower them
they could of gave the idris m loaner to the javelin and the idris p to the kraken
kraken will not be done by ilw next year i can assure you that
Ironclad release with a kraken hull show off
Lile the polaris in ilw 2954 or was it iae 2953
54
February release? I don’t want to wait for ILW
if they can get that command module pushed into final art we should see it sooner i would hope unless their entire plan is for it to be done by ILW
at least now we know it can definetly make it for defense con lol
moving along much better now
that should be the staircase to the overview section
huge
Are we getting the ironclad this month?
They need to show a picture of the the vast cargo bay and the garage door open
helllll nah
they showed the cargo bay tho...
you see? ironclad
im like dead serios btw
I see it now
i needed a moment too
I asked ChatGPT to remove the aurora to show the full cargo bay and this is what I got XD
i am quite stoked by the progress then
maybe alot of it is past greybox
greybox is all the changed stuff
Why I am hoping we get it around February
It’s a shoebox. Only complex thing is the command module
So it seems like the command module works so full speed ahead
yeah now that this command module is pretty much close or if not done its time to set sail and finish her up
means now the kraken will be out maybe IAE next year or ILW/defensecon 2027
may also be the angle
but the aurora is 4m high but it seems to not even go half way of the height of the railing
Ironclad is suppose carry over 1500 SCU so make sense to be able to stack 6 or even 8 single SCU boxes straight up
1 scu is 1.25m high
so 8scu is 10m
but from sources the ironclad is only 40 x 21 x 7.5
It only needs 5m height to fit all the cargo
Ironclad holds 48x32SCU Containers witch are stacked in 2 grids so 24x 32SCU containers per grid are placed 2 containers in height so 5m
I would say duo release
I hope but i have my doubts
They been in the same steps of development so far
But maybe assault waits until the repair bay works
OMG THAT SNEAK PEAK
Clipper
same
I never really looked at the assault until now. Can make your own components
Be very useful when ship comps get damaged
And hope we can make up to S3 so ironclad can constantly have working components
If they make a mobile refinery like how they are making a mobile crafting station. Make unlimited components and then I can sell them on my privateer 😄
dont want to ruin your fun, but if i remember correctly plan is that S3 and S4 components will only be replacable in shipyard
D:
does the golem actually fit between the vulture prongs?....
Never tested it but with the hangar viewer, it should
the vtols are a bit wide tho....
Be a very tight squeeze
If anything could also have it face each other with the stern of the golem sticking out some
apparently we could be getting a golem cargo variant
At least it will be better than the mpuv cargo. Carry one whole 32 SCU box which I think the mpuv cargo only carries one 16 SCU
same
Guessing instead of that mining arm, be the arm with a tractor beam on it
Also we need an ironclad mining variant to compete with the arrastra. Have a refinery in the back where the vehicle bay is and you’ll have all 1500SCU of ore pods in the cargo Bay Area
ironclad cargo bay is supposedly 7.5m high
Yes
Im kinda worried Command Module will be to big weak spot.
Keep an extra one in the cargo bay and what ever kind of med vehicle in there too
This works under the assumption you can attach different CMs to the hull.
You should be able to. Suppose to go between cat and IC so you should be able to go from IC and IC
it will be unless CIG specificaly codes CM is more durable when connected to hull
it should be a weak spot
it's called balance
at least as big a weak spot as any other cockpit
ya'll think we'll get an ironclad release patchbundle?
I would imagine it would be the same as all other cockpits untill detached
Absolutely lol
Will get one at some point quickly after at the least
Yeah people will be all over IC and CIG will use this hype
Question does merlin get durability buff when attached to connie?
Yes
But if they make the cockpit that weak, itll be fucked
I'm assuming the work they are doing on the cockpit will involve some level of balance to make it survivable on a large slow ship
If so then yeah CM will get buff unless cig ads secondary pilot controls to hull
Anyways anyone has dimmensions of command module?
Can’t wait to see the ironclad, I really wanna see it ingame.
Just a couple months more
maybe we'll get an iae surprise with just a model or something
IAE walkthrough model please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’d say it is probably out or very close out of grey box
it has to be so close
Most likely impossible but it would be nice to get the iron clad for EoY patch
my hopium is going to make me believe your right 🤣
But I’ll be fine with it coming out in January but I’m not waiting for ILW
I own an Assault, but man you guys's hopium is even worse than any other ship fanclub before
That Perseus group is still winning
if we see ironchads this year my hopium will have not been in vein lol
I keep seeing if there is one little thing wrong with the Perseus. Apparently the entire game will be ruined and everyone will stop playing. I want the Perseus to fail all because there is so many people praising it that it’s the perfect ship
I would love for the Perseus and Ironclad folks to team up with true logistic supply lines between systems
unstoppable cargo logistics
Cant kill ironclad cuz of armour and Perseus escort
Cant outgun Perseus escort due to ironclad ammo carrier
lol 🤣 strike package inbound
they will actually be griefing us unfortunately
Why as soon as the patch drops, I am hunting down Perseus in my idris. Apparently they already got a KoS for any idris so I’m gonna return the favor
yeah, everyone is eager to see if it will be able to kill idris
unfortunately
the idris will also be blowing up us ironclads if they feel like it lol
Ironclad should be faster than the Perseus and any capital ship, nothing but engine in the back
And I don’t see it stopping at all
I didnt think ironclad came with brakes 🤣
When it’s in atmosphere, might be able to do a cobra maneuver to slow down
lol not the "J" hook turns to slow down
There is a funding chart somewhere (I can find it later) with the highest peaks in sales throughout the years.
The RSI Perseus is the only one that has it's own peak as a ship.
That's how many they sold on it's first announcement day
And that's why it needs to be perfect for us and CIG
Straight to hell
It goes to the 1.0 release.
Tell him...if he could expedite for $100 and a jelly donut ill provide
How is the ironclad whiteboxy?
They literally put it in greybox and showed off sneak peeks
That looks like it’s from twitch but is it actually a CIG employee or someone that just added CIG at the end of their name?
Good question either way my $100 and jelly donut offer is valid to CIG for the ironclad release in december
Longest I’ll wait is January release. With interstellar cargo hauling, need the ironclad. Don’t want to haul cargo on a hull C and get interdicted and even if you make it out alive, you’ll most likely lost cargo from it getting shot at
thats kinda how im feeling they better hand it over
I can’t wait for the next monthly report. If it’s out of grey box then we should see it January, if it’s still in it. We are fucked
if it takes a while for the command module I understand but honestly I never truly cared about a smaller detachable ship
not saying its not important but its for sure not the selling point for me
It should have a tractor beam and hopefully its pilot controlled. Never have to leave the seat to unload the cargo. Only thing they need to add is allow hailing of the cargo elevator to go up and down
ya cuz, our chunky lad is in greybox in the changed areas, and looks like its further along in the hanger/hall way that we saw, at least how i see it
we will get it soon enough
for now
we can all try out the worlds new ugliest ship in the game 🙂
It’s the most beautiful ship, perfect ship with a med bed and a crafting station
A ship built for the Brazilian bunker runners 👊
Question will Command module detach when IC drops
It should since they are working on both ironclads and command module at the same time. We would of had the Ironclad already if that wasn’t the case
look i bought the perseus to replace my hammerhead but I am still amazed how tiny it looks
that new drake clipper looks funky
It is beautiful in its own special way
how much we thinking the drake complete pack will be?
curious what the pack cost will be up to
i think during ILW, it was $6.4k
so best guess now is $6600 standard and maybe $5800 warbond?
this is assuming the clipper is in the pack
maybe
best way to get limited hull ships like kraken since you dont have to fight in the F5 war
welp im ready i melted all my ships im at $6800 so lets see how i turn out today XD
Drake 4 Life
i melted all my ships for the $15k pack 2 days ago <o<
im jelous
lol some people can afford more than me and its so awesome
I keep telling myself one day ill buy the complete pack
i know someone that has the $48k pack
yeah see this is what im after
lose all the FOMO and just relax
dont bother fighting the F5 wars and no need to look at CCU chains when you have it all
yeah. one thing i wish the base kraken was in the $15k pack instead of the privateer. i already won the F5 war during ILW for privateer. but i want both krakens so in 6 and a half hours from now, gotta try to win the F5 war for the base kraken
I will be wishing you the best of luck on the wars for the base kraken and hope that you and I can earn both in our fleet
I chose to go with the complete pack to avoid having to fight for anything and I can use the credits I have already
the only ship ill need to buy back in the future is the 890J and the Pioneer
and potentially the galaxy assuming I will want it after all the expenses
I originally planned on buying the Drake complete pack but when I seen most of my ships were in the $15k pack, I couldn’t pass up getting the idris m
yeah if i had the funds to drop
9K this year i would
idris M is worth
they also gave you a merchantman so thats a big W
I already had the BMM in buy back
Which I wish I could have traded it for the Orion. They both $650 and the privateer is just a way better merchant ship
question is the IAE hall not doing the transitions of ships each day like they used to right?
Transitions on the website
just not in the hall so all the static displays wont transition?
yeah this is true I also dont think we see the BMM anytime soon
It goes back into production 2026
When, no clue but they said 2026 production will continue
Which they would really need to do something to make the BMM worth it if the privateer will most likely be out before it
the railen also is coming in 2026 according to the static display
Yeah I’d say Railen alien week 2026 and maybe BMM for alien week 2027
that would be awesome!
When SQ42 releases, there is going to be a ton of progression to star citizen. Since all the developers would get put on SC. We could see 1.0 around 2028. As long as they keep their promise to work on SC til it’s ready for 1.0
SQ42 is only part one of three
I was under the impression that it was already done was that a false statement from CIG earlier in the year of SQ42 being done?
oooh they meant part one not all parts ok that makes sense
Yeah they said they’ll work on part two and three after SC 1.0
I’ve bought a Ironclad
YESSS!!!!!
Huge
did you luck out on a kraken?
Got one on first wave. Now I got both base and privateer
YESSSS SIR we are officially kraken owners
I been having one XD
Had privateer since ILW
lol then its just me that was behind
the complete pack is nice I am happy I traded in my dominus pack for it I dont use the idris and even though idris is out and its a nice ship I find myself more and more into the kraken
Yeah I can’t wait for the kraken. The only downside though is there is 12 entry points to get into the kraken. So it will easily be able to be stolen
true assuming you arent paying attention but i feel like with a full crew the chances of a stolen ship get slim
one thing i hope they add is like 2 remote turrets that cover the entire deck so if someone boards you, they cant just walk right up to a door and break in
kraken is cool and all buuuut.... #1243260356944728134

what
the thing is in like the earliest stage of dev after concept
what does the command module detaching have to do with having ironclad now vs next year
by that logic we should have gotten caterpillar last year

anyone knows about this as much as you do
which is to say anybody who gives you a confident answer is wrong
nobody knows if it will or not, to make a guess it probably will imo but that's an opinion and it may very well release without it
because they want to release the ironclad with the working command module. we would have had the ironclad for IAE with perseus if they didnt want to work on the command module
cant talk about other ships but #1121113616926638131 can talk about anything and was talking about BF6 the entire week of release. atleast its drake related
i don't own or have any interest in a perseus so i don't ever go in there. seems they're talking about the perseus now
ok no you're delusional
the thing is in literally like graybox or whatever comes after concept
idk how you got the idea that the command module is holding the release of the ironclad back but as it stands that aint it chief
if you think that is it cite me your source where cig has stated they're waiting for command module and IC is ready otherwise
don't waste your time, you can't find such a source, it doesn't exist
but here i'll show you what it says in the oct monthly report
yeah because it had an extremely long white box for them trying to get the command module to work with it
apparently its from Tristwpn
send me your source
where cig says
blocker for ic not releasing this iae is cm
@real pivot this is the only Ironclad channel i know of
i have both version in my buyback
ironclad 2200+SCU now
yay
Command module seperation coming with Ironclads
ic is probably 2304
2204 makes no sense
68 times 32 scu + 28 scu makes no sense
2304 would be 72
they probably made it taller and made it so you can put 3x 32 scu on each side
or now the middle has grid too
APPARENTLY IRONCLAD SOON PLAYABLE
either 2 tall grids on the middle or 3 tall grids
Watch Star Citizen's clip titled "First playable coming soon, with the release of the Ironclad"
what
watch clip
no he says the first playable
so he probably means CM seperation for cat
it doesn't mean IC is releasing
"the actual parasite stuff for being able to take control of the larger ship and fly it (?) we actually got the first playable coming out they've used a prototype of the existing ships but the IC and CM have been built with it in mind there's small tweaks needed to use it with that but first playable's coming out soon and we're currently on track to have it come out with it"
this aint even cope he says nothing about IC release
just that it's on track to release with CM seperation
they say how much the assault is getting?
they did just forgot
ok thanks ill just watch it
holy crud 2200+ SCU YES!!!
Man with all new reveals at todays SCL i think Ironclad will be really popular
Or 2174
2174 makes less sense than 2204
68x32SCU
which again makes no sense
1920 would make sense, 2304 would make sense, anything in between doesn't make sense
34 containers per side
we already know it's 24 containers per side
2304 is the number where it would be if they made it 1 box taller and we got 32 containers per side
1920 would be the number we would have if they fit 12 boxes in through the middle
you can also get to 2304 by putting in a whole another "side" into the middle
but to get to 68 means adding 20 containers to a system where you have 24 on both, and it doesn't work with an even shape
They said they were able to get more cargo by modifying rear part where garage is
unless they changed the length smh, even then 2204 seems like a typo from 2304
yeah but the fact that 2204 is just 1 number off from 2304 and that's a number that's right next to it makes me more confident that it's 2304
to get to 60 34 containers per side you need to shave off literally 12.5 meters
i don't think they got 12.5 meters from the garage
Well 2204 could include that secure cargo
Secure cargo?
That room above ramp
What makes it secure
While Drake is preparing to kick off DefenseCon 2954, don't miss your chance to get an early preview of their newest concept ship, followed by an update on the RSI Polaris.

Well i think Ironclad owners gonna love new external freight elevators at stations becouse you can load faster trough roof
I still dont understand how to use the external elavators
i need a tutorial lol
I am so freaking ready for ironclad
My C2 days may be numbered when this ship drops
Where is that said??
Todays SCL
Not as huge as Hull E going to 12000SCU
I think he did mean ironclad, he said first playable will be coming out soon, with release of ironclad
nah he said first playable coming out soon and it (ironclad) is on track to release with it
unless he said something else after that
Kinda love how that cargo increase is so drake
"We saw we had room for more cargo so fck it we ballin"
I'll think ironclads may get even more release price increase
Would have said from 450 to 500 for base
But 525/550 would be fair to assume
I love this statement its a true testament to the drake mindset of our customer wants more so we give them more so that no parts of the ship are unused.
tbh now that ICA gets so much cargo over original
i might not mind the loss of cargo and TBs
especially if we get a small ground vehicle with a TB turret
the atls already exists but an mpuv-tractor on a ground vic chassis would be goated
maybe roc but swap the laser out for tb
also wait this means ships originally thought to not fit over height can fit now if they got the extra cargo in by making the ship taller
i think vulture only has height clearance issue
if i remember correctly extra cargo was achived by removing walkway between cargo grids changes at rear where garage ladders are
So since we don’t have a liberator chat uhh, next closest thing.
Practically the same ships.
Sweet liberty
Liberator is way closer to the kraken. Used the krakens concept hull for liberator
no
What the hell is THIS
That’s a crack-en
Fck you
I want it
ROC-DS would have 2 beams then
Nice
imagine this
roc-ds
one tractor beam is on the vehicle to use for like 32 scu boxes
one is a drone so you can fly it off the vehicle and use for smaller boxes
and then charge back at the vehicle
We just need NPC crews to do everything for us
lol 😂
its so soon i can taste the drake paint
the fact they did confirm its coming next year is such a goat thing to know
the very end of their conversations they touched on ironclad and when jared mentioned it they all gave that quiet nob and look of we want to confirm but we gotta hold some secrets haha
Why my next pay check I’m buying back my ironclads. Just to be ready for them to release
yeah they are super super close
with the last twitch stream we got so much good info that I picked up a galaxy and railen
but im so ready for the ironclads
I’m glad ironclads got more storage. Can haul so many S10 bombs now
Lol 😂 can haul enough cargo to do the hull C missions
Hopefully just 6 more months...fingers crossed
6? We better be getting it in January
man if we see it end of december thats a god send
if we see it january thats still a plus
What sucks is we don’t get a monthly report til January so we have no clue what happened all last month with it
True but from the live they did we have a knowing that the command module is done and a pretty much head nod from the team ironclad is coming 2026 without words the silence was the key
so if all is right id say either drake defense con or they toss it out early and give us something insane for drake defense con
I don’t see it happening for ILW. Since it’s all about military vehicles. Unless they make an excuse that it is an armored cargo ship or since the assault is a drop ship that they release both ironclads for ILW
They could release the ironclad for workers week and then the assault for ILW
dont they release anything for defensecon tho
doesnt seem to follow invictus rules
i doubt itll come that soon, but im super excited to see this monthly report, will be interesting to see if it made it out of greybox
Thing is that no one noticed is that defensecon is no longer a thing. For ILW, Drake was finally invited to it so they will be at ILW and it’s probably mostly for the kraken to be able to show off the hull during the entire ILW instead of at defensecon
I think they might just bring it back tbh. But yah maybe they end up trying to release ironclad somewhere else
Only way defensecon would be back is if CIG forgets the lore they made and that’s 80% a possibility
ironclad is closer than we all think maybe not january but its for sure Q1 2026 no doubt
since galaxy is IAE unless drake decides to crash RSI party then i guess
Yeah kraken is also IAE

perfect
forget RSI lol XD
DRAKE IS BETTER
I could see CIG hyped everyone up so they buy the galaxy now, but gets overshadowed by kraken during IAE
Why they told everyone that galaxy is next IAE ship
that makes sense
kraken silently steals the light
I would vote kraken for best in show XD
They should have a BiS for capital ships. I need me an ugly purple and white kraken
They didn’t allow idris for being a hull limited ship so just make a separate one
Ironclad 100% taking the BiS next year
OMG yes kraken, ironclad and toss in the clipper and the golem and we can drake BiS next year
They could do year of (manufacture) where everyone votes for the best ship of that company and winner gets a new paint
So 2026 have it year of Drake since when the ironclad and kraken is released, Drake would no longer have any concept/jpeg ships
that would make sense that would actually be a really cool idea
i wanna make a ironclad shaped present this year
some shoeboxes and toilet paper rolls
ill toss in my false hopium and say ironclad 4.5 😂😂😂 jk jk but that would be a great christmas present
since that TristWpn video on the IC, i've been wondering where exactly the docking collar is
and my dumbass never looked at that one concept art
With engineering im worried everyone will target CM thus destroying whole ship due to powerplant explosion. Witch will leadvto IC be really fragile
its supposed to be an armoured freighter
if they make it blow in a short bit
it'll upset everyone who pledged for it
I know but CM is really big weak spot if IC cannot be flown from main hull
It’s dumb that the thing that looks like the main bridge is just an observation deck and it can only be controlled by the CM
Just hope they changed their minds and turn the observation deck into a bridge and fly the main hull
Agree just from practical view IC should be movable from observation deck if you need reposition so tractor beam operators can do their job
ok listen how did we get VR before ironclad come on now give us the box CIG
wrap it in christmas wrapping and hand it over
put it in a shoebox then wrap it up
my plan is to make an ironclad OUT of a shoebox and wrap it up so it looks like one....
i wonder if Command modules PP gets taken out is IC dead or main hull PP acts as active PP when connected
hmmm idk but we need to get this box delivered before january
im fine with it coming out in january. be a bday present for me 😄
if only i had the ironclad's model. just like the kraft singles kraken
The ironclad needs to have its own distinct brand
There is a company that makes gloves called ironclad
The ironclad ironclad
i know what it can haul. i keep seeing ads for it all the time, Gordon Ramsey's Hexclad pots and pans
Do you think we can unlock unlimited Ironclad cargo glitch by ||just leaving the roof open and stacking crates on crates on crates||?
☝️ Devs, no clicking! IronChads only!
Shhhh don’t say that. Dev might see that and check and patch it before it even comes out
im just waiting for Hull C owners being pissed at Ironclads using external freight elevators
I rarely ever see a Hull C
But what would be perfect is if you get the ironclad’s garage door just right at the external cargo elevator, it just automatically snaps to the cargo grid
thunk
Because it's always broken
Not broken now. Just manually put on all the cargo from the external cargo elevator
And manually take it off
unless it's the 32scu, it will take forever tho
1 SCU boxes only
im just waiting for a time where players cant backspace or log out to escape situation so i can enslave them to load 1/8scu boxes onto my ironchad
Trick them to imprint on an ursa inside the ironclad and every 5 minutes punch them so they enter combat and never get out of it
I just can't wait for the internal turret to get its first kill.
Bait people inside and just light them up
"Free Candy Quantanium"
that would work on me. Just paint the ship white and have ice cream truck jingles playing.
Time to riot. Been almost 2 and a half months now without a monthly report. Need to know if ironclad is done with or is close to be done with gray box.
My CCU chain has so many holes in it! And yes, please any update at all that mentions Ironclad pleeeease!
us?
What little ships are you’all gonna pack into your Ironclad?
Fill it with MDCs and use the nova as a broom and push them out for my T0 nautilus sentry mines
You're a genius!
I'm imagining an actual minefield of little MDCs just slowly floating around in space
Or just open up the top to expose a grid of MDC ready to fire
Say Hello to my Little Friends
It won’t work if you open up the garage door. I tested it out on the 890J and if on a ship, it won’t shoot. But the second it enters space, it will instantly start shooting
That's interesting to know, and not especially surprising. Thanks for testing and sharing.
Yeah, I was hoping it would work so my kraken could have 100+ MDCs on the flight deck
I really like the idea of having missile defense around my "base" (like Hostile Dis. Centers currently) when that time comes, and for now I guess it will just be plopping a bunch of MDCs around
The ironclad is going to be my mini mini base til I get my kraken. Also hope they make the flight deck bit bigger so the big shoe box ironclad can easily fit
Salvation and Golem mostly
but if they increased the grid size, it means some size/ scaling changes
so Scorpius could be a good fit
Ooh the Salvation is kind of cool! Especially if you can feed mats to the Ironclad's crafting table
Well, might need to refine the mats before we can craft with it
that is true
galaxy would be a better choice for onboard refining with a smaller industrial ship
ironclad would be more practical if you were to just gather the resource and refine elsewhere
Yes that makes sense. Or park that little mini-mining/refiner ship like the Forge in there when it fits / is released.
Or just get a dedicated mining support ship (:
if it would fit that is
Need an ironclad variant that keeps all its storage but puts a flight deck on top that could hold one medium ship or 2-3 small ships
that would just be a bigger liberator
Exactly. Better looking liberator
id take this over ironclad with pads on roof
Liberator is just the early concept model of the kraken
liberator is my fall back if the ironclad fails IF
shame
Ironclad ain’t failing, gonna have more armor than the Perseus
And hopefully they have the assault have up to a S3 crafting table to make its own comps to replace broken ones
it wont fail if you use Ironclad for what it was intended
Only limiting factor is how big the front ramp and the garage door is to allow ground vehicles and ships in. Liberator will carry way more ships and ground vehicles but it has less guns and less armor than ironclad
ICA can load thank via ramp while IC you gonna have to use tractor beam to load tank trough roof doors
Don’t care for the nova, I just hope the MDC fits through the ramp. The base IC should carry more MDCs since it has extra room for not having the crafting station
i belive IC will be able to load MDC via ramp its not that higer than mule when PDC is stored
im just waiting for Ironclads hogging external freight elevators at stations and pissing of Hull owners
Ironclad wouldn’t need external freight, can land in the large hangar. Since you know, it can actually land and get cargo
i know just using external freight elevator will be faster to load/unload
Yea
Just go side ways to the ext. Elevator and unload
Wednesday:
➣ November & December 2025 PU Monthly Report
this gonna be big for our ironclad
Are both Ironclads being released at the same time?
We can guess yes, but as there's no official release info, I think it's just a guess.
I hope when they release the ironclads they also release a secret third variant too that is for base building. Ironclad is the perfect ship for large base building. Place the main hull somewhere while it’s building and fly around in the CM
I think the field for "this is the base-building ship" is getting pretty impacted - old concept ships, newest hotness, all battling for the role of base constructor.
I see IC as a way to transport lots of vehicles and supplies to the work site, an "armored garage" with lots of cool rooms and a way to keep boxes "inside".
I of course wouldn't mind if there was a construction version, but:
-I don't want to pledge a whole 'nother Ironclad hull just for that.
-I don't want all the whining from everyone who pledged all the other dedicated base-builders.
As long as we can fit the little construction carts inside I think we'll be in good shape, at least to start.
One thing is. Every ship will be available in-game. Too many people think they just need to pledge it instead of grinding it in-game and I’m one of them 😄
oh yeah, I'm kind of in the mindset of "if I don't pledge, it, I don't own it". I'm sure I'll get over it.
Considering buying a Catarpillar in-game for the upcoming 4.6 Clearing the Air event.
Ngl
Ships like Caterpillar and Carrack needs their cargo areas to be worked on
I like the carrack
I might get the prowler to ironclad ccu out of buyback before she releases for a possible carrack chain
Caterpillar is so frustrating to use lol
IRONCLAD COMING TO GREYBOX REVIEW
Dang making good progress, I wonder if both passed the review this month
Seems like the base and assault are in tandem tho which makes sense since you need the base one for the assault and most changes have to be done to both
But ayyyy playable command module was tested
Please tell me what to watch out for?
My opinion on that is how it loads
It CAN hold 576scu
But realistically you only put 4x 24scu in each pod
Which is 384scu
Look at it's grid
Its also one of the few ships that change its thrust on how much is loaded
yeah and loading from left side is pain in the ass so you can only load it from right side
cat could hold way more if all they did was remove the bulkhead between the cargo bays. there is times the separate bays is nice to organize for dropping off at different locations, but i rather have more space
they could also remove the catwalk for slightly more room
nah, catwalk gives the cat in caterpillar
what im interested in is where the buttons for opening the roof are located
in tractor beam bridge
dunno but on bridge is logical if there are additional controls elsewere i do not know
well, i hope there are some in the bay itself
would make kinda sense for the workers in the bay to be able to close it from there
I did pack 84 SCU in a cutty recently
I hope we can infinitely stack boxes when the garage door is open
We getting ironchad at Invictus Waunch Leek
And then we have an Ironclad meet-up!
We need an Ironclad-Voltron meetup, like they did with the RAFT (RAFTRON)
FR
where tho...
im all for the frozen lake by NB
I’m good with anywhere (except Crusader) 🐳
Maybe we can stack ICs together and make a skyscraper
Stack them all up going through the hole at levski
“Fill the hole with IRON!!”
Im trying to decide a ground vehicle loadout but can't decide between mtc/mdc centurion or ballista what do you all think
depends what you want it for
MTC will have a bit more value once suit changing is implemented and there’s more incentive to wear non-heavy armor.
But Sneepope is right, the right vehicle for the right job.
Bunch of MDCs for an early nautilus T0 is going to be fun. Dump hundreds of MDCs near grim hex and anyone with a crime stat in a fighter will get obliterated. If only we could accept multiple bounty PvP contracts
Do we get our next monthly report this week or do they wait a week for how close they released the double report. I don’t remember how they did it last year
i think it will be this week they have to get to normal release schedule anyways
Doesn't really matter, it will be ready for ILW and not a moment sooner
Didn't even know these channels existed was fun reading all the messages 😁
Pledge Ironclad!!
I'm getting both!!!
