It's aegis, armored transport
I've been doing more detail recently, so compared interiors and comp access
This one of my favorite tho, aegis shearwater
See the sabre in it
I have yet to do aegis. Their style is difficult to pin down
They follow multiple styles
There's sabre-vanguard-tali style, hammerhead-idris-jav-claimer style, and then some stragglers
There's also vanguard-redeeemer style lol
Vanguard and deemer is new tech and style Ig
So I guess splitting between old and new tech, and then by large or smaller
600i + Millenium Falcon = Milleniumi.
I hit a block with the drake boarder so threw together Anvil medium salvage / cargo. 192 SCU.
closer image
Cool idea, I think maybe the printer should be near the back tho
The bridge overlooking the deck is cool
Maybe a counterweight on the claw possibly
Thanks. Why at the back? I put at the front to make it quicker to offload and easier for the tractor turrets to reach.
one thing not shown but an idea was to put printer controls in the bridge, so the turrets can move boxes rather than go down to do it manually
I mean 1. So you could hide the mechanicals more easily, and potentially add those cells the vulture has up in the front along the arms
Also maybe just for weight distribution if cig ever does that
Tractors could be on rails potentially too
Wait no those are salvage heads nvm
i put the salvage heads on rails lol. If the game has magic metal melting beams that sucks up ship skin then putting them on rails is not a stretch
You got a deck layout for it? I was bored in my class and was thinking up of some
yeah i have rough idea for it. rear has a big room for salvaged components/weapons. Upper area is crew
two bunk rooms on left, captain area and a small dining area on right
I might try thinking up of some later potentially, I got a boring day lol
Having a hard time on my little snub thing too
So it's 3 crew?
I'm sketching up an idea atm but it looks pretty big
oh thats much larger than I thought it was lol
Here's where I'm at with the mockup
Having trouble what to put on the top deck
But bottom has the 2 cargo holds, then next to it is comp access
After that is armor racks on the left, elevator at the back, engineer terminal in front of the part of the wall pushed forward, and a gun rack and ladder to top deck on right
Thought an airlock/docking port might fit on the top there so that's what the nub is
Moved the dispenser as I needed space for the ramp. Threw on some paint, added details, and got the interior blocked out. https://i.imgur.com/2mc6seb.gifv
Very cool
Just an idea, but maybe having 2 elevator systems to prevent direct access to the bridge from engineering (or surface), maybe even by just making one of the elevators only go from engineering to crew, and then crew to bridge
Just cause anvil likes that safety feature like on valk
Since it's a salvage ship, folks need to get outside quickly so both elevators go to the surface/space. I considered the roof but not much up there
occasionally folks need to pop out and grab components/weapons, or explore what they are salvaging before tearing it up
I do agree there, but they'd probably have to get suited up somewhere first before they do, so they wouldn't need a direct line to the surface or engineering
What could be done tho is surface to engineer elevators at the back, and then maybe just an additional wall between that main elevator line and the bay to help mental separate the spaces
possibly. There is a engineering crawlspace, not sure how visible it is. I was gonna touch that place up though more since I was gonna put some components down there
Yeah I saw that, I was thinking maybe weapon and armor racks but maybe inconvenient to get to
It's good to bridge both sides of engineering together through it
a while back i visited a ship IRL and am gonna go for this vibe down there
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/498223647333285888/1220029747778687087/IMG_20240320_153756982.jpg?ex=662923be&is=6616aebe&hm=d3fbbbf1f9d1c74b62ceb705838138bc828642498b61697595b1f7af8bd63353&
I will use some carrack engine room assets but since it's industrial versus exploration, may make it a bit .. rougher
Would be cool for there to be a catwalk above the salvage deck, kinda like reclaimer
Could be accessible from the middeck through an airlock, or just only access from the salvage deck via ladders
Potentially useful for salvage head changing
yeah that's the idea. There might be some ladders, catwalks, and crawlways back there besides that main one
I have been watching the engineering gameplay coming out of evo, so could toss some relays back there
that and I kinda want to make it so you see the rmcbox coming down a chute before it goes outside
There's that space on the inside by the elevators, could see it maybe drop down or something through windows in there
Hi yes is this the certified jpeg owner club?
no that would be #1116450833970774067
Been sketching up quick ideas for station reworks inspired by the UGFs, this is a pad area
I have a cargo deck one but its very ugly (has labels tho)
Nothing to scale obv
Doing outposts/mining areas now, built a normal sized one and a settlement type one
The smaller pads and hangar thing are Connie sized, and the big box at the back is a sort of storage facility (maybe having like a small interior, but mainly just a prop to help sell the believability)
Trynna make them feel more lively, as well as more missions for them, like bombing the storage center
Some would have armistice, some wouldn't, like distros
I've actually been doing the same thing lol, I am so excited for outposts
This is the current progress on an ARGO Starter ship Iā²m currently working on. Still early graybox phases but some detail work is getting started with the engines and landing gear. Calling it the ARGO STARGO for now. Let me know what you think!
Funnily enough I've done nearly the exact same thing
not in 3d tho
Hahaha! Thats nice! Mines shaping up to be about cutter sized but still be able to hold 16scu because its a bit of a wide boy
Nice
I designed this one to hold a roc, cause ships that can hold a roc are way too expensive
Is it a physical bay or suspended like raft?
Physical
I'm a lil unhappy with my design cause of the main body not being very argo
Mines still graybox but iā²ll share the detail work on the body once I get started on it. Gonna be working on the landing gear tonight and will share that. The blocky shape isnt what I want either but like I said, basic graybox
Kewl
As you can see tho, it's mostly just me in here
and stoic every now and then who's a real pro at it
ngl that shape is giving me vulcan vibes
Vulcan shouldve been argo anyways
Been cooking on a 336 scu argo ship
Still not really sure if I totally like the design but I'm this far in so
Itās cute. The back is the problem though. Make it triangular, give it some wings and it will be good.
Argo doesn't do wings, and I tried a triangular shape but that looked too much like mole
Argo bad. How fix the back then?
This looks like it's really long, but it's only like a little longer than a 32 scu box
This has taken me way too dang long to get to this point
And it's just a big Pisces lol
Aegis/Anvil Arrowhead.
It's anvil, supposed to be medical but I'm making a default one first
Honestly
I do semi-plan for it to be a little modular
My goal for this ship really is to just have as much functionality and interesting kinks to it
Dang I could double stack scu in this thing and it'd be pretty proportional
Think I'll still stick with only one scu layer tho
Working on two things atm but the other is just a cargo grid atm, so I'll show this progress
I'll show this now too since it's more than just a rectangle, will have genesis style Wings and is a redo of the thing in the corner
Nope. Javelin, Kraken, Hull E, and Orion are bigger.
Smol.
Working on some 3d models of some of the structures seen at Citcon to help plan some bases before theyāre released (not currently at scale)
Make a site?
I wish there was a site for it
Make one?
Iām not that talented
seems fun
This where I'm at with this, progress is slow
I never said what it is but it's a banu mini merchantman, 16 scu (the cargo in the middle is just so I know it fits in the ship)
Struggling with where to put the shop desk
i started conceptualizing a large MISC ship based off of the yb47 flying wings from ww2
