Ah, that warning is shown when I deem a trade to be risky, time wise.
I assume the location is at 33% capacity, factor in its refresh for the time it takes to get there and if that's lower than the amount to trade, I show the warning.
It's not foolproof, but I think it can help people make more informed decisions.

So everyone buys and sell in the same stocks, even if you don't see them. That's why the refresh rate (the "per minute") is the most important

#

The way I personally use it is I put in a somewhat large "Minimum refresh rate" under "Miscellaneous" > "Show stock details"

You can recoup some losses by selling large amounts at the shady terminal (https://sc-trade.tools/shops/Stanton > CRU L4 > CRU-L4 Shallow Fields Station > "No Questions Asked" Trading Console) but you'll sell at a loss.

Well good news though, revenant tree pollen is a cool commodity that is traded in larger quantities (https://sc-trade.tools/commodities/Revenant Tree Pollen). It seems to function as a precursor for some drugs.

As far as I know, what you described is correct. I've personally experienced it once in my Starfarer at Port Olisar: I requested landing, 30k'ed, came back and found myself in the habs, with my ship stored and full of cargo.

@flint jewel Yeah, it's very much a challenge nowadays. You can use the "Minimum refresh rate" filter under "Miscellaneous" > "Show stock details" to try to avoid poorly-stocked places.

There's no guarantee, but it might help. No 3rd party tool can hook into the game's servers as far as I know, so stock information is all I have to offer for now.

Took an investigate mission (for hand mining) and when i got to the cave there was a radar-red aurora LN landed outside. I blew it up thinking it was about to attack. Do you think it might have been a players ship? I was confused why it would be radar-red.

You typically don't run into the weather system tbh. Especially Temps.

But Arial is quite the exception as it will kill you in ~6-8 minutes in basic armor

Pembroke gives you about 30 minutes minimum.

Right now the only bulk commodity that is guaranteed to have stock and default pricing are diamonds at Tram & Myers, and selling them at Lorville or New Babbage. Everything else is sensitive to player activity driving prices up. Yesterday Titanium prices at arial were so high it was less profitable than T&M diamonds.

Thats an interesting problem. I don't have Track IR or a ROC, but I would expect switching gimbal mode would stop the mining turret from following your viewpoint and fix it forward

definitely will be possible eventually. You can do the same thing with ship guns (have TrackIR move them) and you can turn it off. Most likely they just haven't built it for the ROC yet.

Ferrying Titanium to PO, you can make 250k an hour in a Caterpillar (barring any 30ks).

So I'd say about 10 days?

Just be aware that running cargo during the free fly is riskier, with everyone having an Eclipse.

I believe in the REfinery terminals, v.s. the trade terminals

So at Port Ollisar, the trade terminal is right next to that british guy with a preppy haircut with a bad attitude. The Refinery Terminals are on the wall to the left with the little...like a RING graphic with some bullshit streaming in and out of the ring like your throwing the RING into the VOLCANO type of deal

I'd say Area 18 TDD is your best bet to offload medical supplies at best price. New Babbage TDD lets you skip the spaceport, but it is used a lot for that exact reason and can be maxed out.

So I just did this run, starting at Port Olisar and my cat had some old "Diamonds" in it so my numbers are a bit off. But mostly it worked as stated, one strange thing. Going into a moon base, and the terminal has NOTHING to sell and NOTHING to buy. Showing say +2000 a minute for what I want. So I wated a few minutes, and always, I'd eventually get full access to all things. And all things were bought and sold FULL to my CAT

I believe that's a different thing: when the game asks the economy servers what is there to trade at this shop, sometimes, when it's very busy, the economy server will fail to respond.

That's when you get an empty terminal: the stocks are there, but the game client couldn't query them.

has anyone sensed or figured out the node distribution currently in 3.10 for ore? Just curious as to what system discerns the placement of Q and why its placed where it is. how far apart are the nodes. how often do they spawn. if a player is active in an area for prolonged period of time, do the node spawns decrease? etc... I find a bit of Q under OM 1 at Yela but never OM 2 and Im just curious why, or what determines where Q is spawned, rates, limits, etc.

From what I gathered, there is a respawn timer on the deposits.

All volumes of a particular location seem to have an equal chance at everything, but there does seem to have some persistence: i.e. is a spot has not generated any rocks, it likely never will (think same RNG seed).

It's hard to tell exactly because we can't look at the code directly, but it does seem to just be flat percentages.

deposits have a % chance of having a mineral in a certain % range

The one thing I hate about the ROC is the bug where you get in and it won't power up, engines won't start, and you can't exit. You can't even backspace to respawn. You have to quit to menu and start over.

Anything high-value will require a better mining head than the default.

That being said, overclocking the mining laser and getting closer to the rock helps sometimes.

Yes! It's a marginal improvement, but it's there.
Not really, as component wear and tear is not in.
The risk is that the thrusters and the shields won't get enough power.
