You have too much stuff open on your computer.
You have 16GB of RAM installed but varying programs, including your OS, consume that RAM to work.
Discord, Steam, other game launchers like Epic or Battle.net, browsers like Firefox or Chrome, those all consume RAM. Close some or all of them, then try again.

Really either is fine, but you technically get more performance from the 5700XT since its a newer card and the 2070 is superseded by the 2070Super, which really was just a response to the 5700 and 5700XT

ultimately AMDs move to less than industry standard of support of partners via their "open source" initiatives makes them a costly and unattractive business partner for alot of businesses where they might other wise have been an option worth considering. not just because of the IP entanglement issues with using open source solutions such as AMD's but also because you are stuck supporting it yourself, which is an unecessary and hard to predict cost in software tech industry where literally every player provides real and legitimate hands on support for developers within their ecosphere.

Any open source project requires you to implement it on your own, thats not something thats singular to FreeSync. You find an open source library for JS somewhere, you are responsible for adding it and making sure it integrates into your product correctly. The creators have zero responsibility towards you, and asking for their "support" in either implementation or getting them to individually take their own devs to add FreeSync or w/e to your specific monitor lineup is a meme worthy of r/choosingbeggars material
Mind you, had freesync actually been losing marketshare, nvidia wouldve pushed harder for their proprietary solution rather than adopt FreeSync as a supported solution, and the reason why they adopted FreeSync rather than continue to support their proprietary Gsync tech is because Gsync monitors were selling less and less over time because of the price difference between Gsync and FreeSync monitors. If they outright supported FreeSync entirely, suddenly they have made a pro gamer move and given themselves more legroom to work with when it comes to monitor support. There was no other reason why FreeSync shouldve been adopted unless it was for their own benefit.
