losing scrobbles/imports?

i just recently renewed my fmbot subscription, and overtime i started to notice that my plays are going down from my profile.
like, i had around 200k last year, i vaguely remember it going down to 150k a few months ago, and now i am at 90k after imports.
what is going on? is this an issue with the bot or last.fm itself? i seem to be losing scrobbles every month and im not sure what's happening
