I can’t figure out why the actual number of habitats I have placed is different from the one displayed on the Shop.
I have attached a pic of both my unlocked islands and the shop page so you can take a look for urself

Check if the habitats are in your inventory. If you purchase habitats and can't place them on islands, they'll be stored in your inventory.
