#Problem with linking Facebook account on iOS

Hello,

I’m a returning player and I was hoping that Gameloft didn’t nuke my account after ~2 years of inactivity but I can’t even check if that’s the case. Today I’ve opened the game and it was a completely fresh start. In order to know if my old account, which was linked to Facebook, is still there I guess I’d have to link it first and here comes the problem. When I choose ‚Connect to social network’ and then login to facebook without any issues my avatar changes to my fb one and nothing happens besides that - I still have the option to connect to fb and I don’t get the Prairie Dragon. Is this supposed to happen?

Thanks in advance for the answer.

No. As long as you're on the same platform as before (iOS/iOS, not iOS/Android or Windows) and your account still exists on the DML servers, what you should get with a successful link to a FB account that you've linked to before is a conflict screen showing the progress of the current game on the left and your saved progress on the right, with the option to choose which one to keep.

If you have the Player ID or recruitment code, I suggest opening a ticket with Customer Care in-game (see #customer-care message if you haven't used the chat bot before). They would be able to verify if your account still exists and help you retrieve it

Thanks a bunch for a quick answer. I'll try the method you mentioned

Hello again, may I ask how long the process takes roughly? To be honest I’ve already contacted customer care a day prior to writing this ticket (although I’ve added additional information thanks to this conversation), which would be the September 19th and I got an answer after a week. The answer didn’t help me at all so I continued asking and today, 2 weeks after the initial question I still haven’t heard back from them.

You can check the status of your ticket in #tickets-status-check. See #customer-care message for how-to
