Have you ever wondered how to load up your boats with equipment and crew? Then the DSF Calculator is just for you!

Tell it where you want to fish, what kinds of fish are there, and what boat you are using, and it will tell you how to optimally load your boat. The optimization is based on the strategy you choose: profit/hour, profit/trip, income/hour, and income/trip. I usually choose profit/hour to maximize my profits. The per trip strategies are good for overnight or when you will be gone for a while. The income strategies are useful for the Fishing Hardworker Event.

What if you must get the fish back by a certain time? There is a time limit feature available.

Don't like what the calculator chooses, or you want to try out different combinations yourself? You can choose the equipment and crew (including nonstandard items), and the calculator will report how much time it will take, and the cost, income, and profit for your trip.

There is a built in Help page to guide you in running it.

NEW in version 3.03--there is a Values page which lists costs and prices related to Fishing Market contracts, thanks to Heather Norsk (US1).

IMPORTANT: You must make your own copy for it to work! Download it to your computer, or save it to your Google Drive.

It is Excel based, but also works in Google Sheets. If you use it in Google Sheets, you will need to shrink the fishing area picture to the left to see some of the columns of data, and there is a couple of seconds of delay as it calculates the results.

The latest update to the Deep Sea Fishing Calculator is here. The new version is 3.1, reflecting a small change to how the calculator works. There is now a 'My Boats' worksheet that allows the user to list all their boats in their dockyard. Now, when selecting the boat the the calculator will base it's computations off of, the user can simply choose from a drop down list of the kinds boats available in their dockyard. Alternatively, the user can decide to use a 'custom' boat, where they can choose any of the boat types and levels available in the game. This 'custom' boat feature is the way the boat was selected in earlier versions of the calculator.

The Help worksheet has been update to reflect this change.

Also, there were some minor cosmetic changes.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: You must make your own copy for it to work! Download it to your computer, or save it to your Google Drive.

I updated the original posting above so that it contains the new version, as well as including this new version in this posting. It has also been posted on the BF English/International Forum under the Tutorials and FAQs section.

There was a bug when choosing a boat from the 'My Boats' drop down list, causing error results for many fields. This is fixed in this version (v3.1.1).

That is fine for you. Not everyone has trawlers. It takes some time to build up a fleet.
Some go for getting the fish in quickly and others of max profit per going out.
This is to calculate what you need for yourself according to your requirements.
This tutorial is left open for farmers to ask Nuke questions and not discuss your own strategy,
If you wish to discuss your method please use #1043110625133477920 .

Please discuss your method in #1043110625133477920 not here.
This is ask Nuke questions about the calculator.

I have been asked to remove content from the DSF Calculator in part because it was out of date. Until I have the time to do this, which hopefully will be soon, I have removed the calculator.

The latest update to the Deep Sea Fishing Calculator is finally here. The new version is 3.1.2, which includes a redesigned and independently researched sheet that lists the value of various items within the fishing contracts. Included with this information is a list of costs to make chum and restaurant dishes, showing whether they are made for a profit or loss.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: You must make your own copy for it to work! Download it to your computer, or save it to your Google Drive.

I updated the link in all previous postings so that they point to the new version, as well as including one in this posting.
