Long-long time ago (almost 2 months ago) I made a bug report (#1469666997615853638 message) which was basically about the fact that pretty much any player could possibly land on the water at very high speed but couldn't land on the land in even slightly better conditions (with regard to vertical speed).
Whilst not being identified as a bug one of the devs pointed out that it may be a suggestion for water physics update.
So here I am, offering to basically "nerf" the water in terms of its current landing capabilities.
Why?
There is at least one main reason - current water physics make it easier to land on water rather than land. IRL, in fact, landing on water is on some occasions times difficult (especially if we talk about the planes not intended for water landings, as in example) than on land.
In my opinion if the water will be updated in such way it will:
- Encourage players to maintain planes better and fly less recklessly in general (in order to avoid emergencies).
- Encourage players to generally land at the airports and prevent unnecessary teleportation to original spawn which happens in case of most water landings.
- Make game more realistic in a way of water landings.
