ban all generative AI-created or obviously AI-enhanced/edited images from media channels, this includes #aeronautica-media and #media-submissions or at the very least introduce a dedicated thread for them or some kind of ruling in general.

in my opinion, AI-generated images (even if they look a lot like an Aeronautica screenshot and/or are generated using an Aeronautica screenshot as a basis) are not actual Aeronautica screenshots and therefore they should not be there. however, you are free to contest this as you see fit.

I'm not really sure where AI upscaled screenshots would lay here so I guess some feedback on that would be appreciated

me and dawg were talking about it but didn’t come to a clear conclusion

since there’s not really that much of it it’s not really a problem right now

and then what do you do about ai upscaling, or ai background blurrer or whatever? we allow edited images, so would those be banned too?

but even still I think at the very minimum there should be some statement made on this issue because although it may not seem like a big deal now it could very easily be a problem like six months from now

henceforth, we either need to completely ban them or (the more likely outcome) make a dedicated thread for AI content/require that all people should disclose if they use AI like with what happened in the trade section with liveries

Submission should be bannable
Advertisement (livery, airline) should also be bannable
In-game-media should be enforced with the following rules:

  • The AI image must have a side by side photo of original image
  • The AI image does not have a copyright name (e.g. name of whoever sent the image), AI made that, not you, you just prompted the AI to make it for you

the result is the AI managed to paint on the UV maps

but everything was misaligned

now it's 2026 and I'd doubt it can still do textures on 3d models
