#Not animated Flaps

no
it's dev's discretion to do so, but it's unethical to just give them stat modification only rather than with animation
animating them is actually easy
the reason why there aren't many is that it's (1) an old model with joined parts, (2) devs don't know them, albeit i can just teach them as I have experience in animating vehicles in Aero, and (3) it's irrelevant or would just waste time compared to a more efficient or mass production of vehicles
specifically vehicles that aren't added to the game
let me guess, you want airliners to have airbrakes?
(4) planes that don't go too fast don't need airbrakes, just use reverse thrusters
Or do orbit (if you believe that revs braking are not realistic/fly aircrafts that have this feature)
Yes, it is the devs discetion to do so. But why should it be unethical?
No
what even is this suggestion
practical over aesthetics
players wouldn't know if they have activated airbrakes or not
oh so he wants flaps with no animations
which would influx bug reports
Gameplay over graphics/animations
Definitely
Make a flaps handle next to the thrust levler
adds complexity to the UI making and additional coding
Yeah fly isn't coding that lol
See that point
we already have too much we don't need more in our screens
Is this a free kill
He wants flaps that aren't visual so it's not really in the rejected category
For example?
I should have known
the animations are most of the work i guess, maybe add them later
no wonder why i did you this
No devs want to add animation to anything, it's not worth the dev time
unless it's REALLY simple like the Electra

worth for me, matter of fact the 2 interaction keys isn't sufficient for my helicopter
hoists, side doors, ramps

not really, just add 1 part, parent the part you want to animate to said part, then just edit the values inside the part then that's basically it
no coding involved btw
nor blender
well blender to make models
but rarely to animate for aero
more like preview of what's gonna happen if it's in aero
than animate in blender and put it in aero
the same applies to what happens when you press T or Y
there are parameters you can edit
also no coding involved
means this suggestion is worthless
Dont knew this
Though you have to do it in Blender
negat, no need for blender to animate as i said
just modelling
we're talking about the animation of parts where they move smoothly
the ones that devs can do is what we call toggle animation (toggle transparency) where an already made part that is enabled is transparent before you press the keybind
such as gears
both the closed and open gears already exist, they just don't exist visually
whereas with smooth animation, only one part exists, which saves part count and possibly optimization
the only requirement here are 2+ parts where they are shown as enabled or disabled, opened or closed, flaps down or up
one of them is transparent
the configuration of vehicles is done in roblox studio, not in blender
Stall speeds already account for flaps when possible
Just knowing the different stall speeds for different configurations would be hell

everytime it's being asked for non animated flaps, there's gonna be animated flaps asked right next
given that they work in game but just not visible, it comes down to this
Fails the 3th question
if your suggestion isnt to animate them then what is your suggestion
i am very confused
Apparently to add flaps he said
it fails even 2nd
whar
that doesnt make sense
add flaps but dont animate them?
Wdym
what
Yes
yk how gears are pop-up/toggle?
And that
that's what this suggestion is
ohhhh right
to make them pop up instead of proper anim
equally as pointless as animating them
Exactly
call me lazy but i can think of dozen of reason why we shouldn't just from the top of my head
