Temperature could be an addition to climates in certain areas of the map. Temperature while up above the clouds should also increase and contribute to the disability of icing on planes. Icing would decrease the planes speed, or should be a tiny multiplier to condition loss during flight. To be able to counter this you can de-ice your plane, for example how the refueling mechanic works. However, your plane can gradually thaw if stationary under a specific altitude, or if kept in hangar for long . This can be visual or non-visual, could be through the reflectance look of the plane.

it be on the trello but yeah icing would definitely be a good mechanic to have
especially with advanced customization
then we have to decide if we want de icing gear and whatnot
enabling deicing gear would reduce thrust because the deicing uses the hot air expelled from the engines
hence decreasing the mass of air being moved
some day
good luck coding ts
unpaid dev slavery smh
true
if its not visual then theres not much reason for this anyway
realistic physics:
I hope these occur on final approach and takeoff to throw people off :)

"TAILWIND SHEAR! TAILWIND SHEAR!"
Depends on the deicing system
i like this idea
