I noticed that even when you have waves at the max level, they barely touch the side of the ship. And if you are in a storm IRL, such as a typhoon, or in any bad weather... Or in the atlantic or pacific, you will see that the waves go over the ship! And it causes a lot of splashing everywhere, which would be an awesome affect when you are sailing through a storm. Another thing that could happen is the ship could sink, or list at a huge amount due to the waves going at the side of your ship. And this could add a lot of RP'ing in the server, for people who need search and rescue, or if they need to rescue anyone. I know that this would annoy a lot of people who just want to run their ships overnight, and not be worried about their ship sinking while they are sleeping, or away from their computer, so this could be a feature that you could toggle on, or off. This would bring a lot more realism to boating, and make it so people actualy want to sail, instead of using it as a money grab. The image shows what waves look like now, and they could look way cooler.
