The 747-400BDSF (Bedek Special Freighter) and the 747-400BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter) are converted standard passenger 747-400s and are not designated -400F. Both feature the stretched upper deck (SUD) introduced with the 747-300. Neither the 747-400BCF nor the 747-400BDSF have a nose cargo door.

The 747-400F (Freighter) is the all-freight version of the 747-400. It features the original short upper deck found on the classic 747s and has a main deck nose cargo door.

basically the difference is that BDSF conversions are done by third parties while BCF conversions are done by licensed boeing facilities

and BDSFs typically have different cargo door placement
