#Remove clouds at +12km

Realistically, at 12km, no cloud which is so huge can spawn at 12km. A Nimbocumulus (Castle Bravo) cant even reach this scale - and if it can, its definetly not at that yield. There would be much less than many of them.

It not only ruins the usual beautiful sky at such high altitudes, but its also unrealistic and its annoying when i have to fly through a rain cloud at 23km (this is what happens whenever i fly L-2000)

#

at how the fuck are cirrus clouds appearing at over 20km or so when they appear at 8-12km 💀

I would agree but I'm not sure if aeronautica scaling applies vertically as well

its not like clouds are an integrated roblox feature

Shrug

dry marlin
#

its not scaled i can see cumulus spawning at 3-5km

#

wouldnt make sense a nimbocumulus is at 23km

#

that image is 18km

#

and thats the max of a cb

(nimbocumulus)

I wouldn’t say 12km as equatorial tropopause is around 60k ft (18ish)

thats um

#

high

And overshooting tops on anvils can go as high as 75k ft

cirrus dont appear at those altitudes

cold magnet
#

Eh yeah cirrus could be a little lower

#

Shouldn’t ever be seeing cumuliform up there though outside of a big storm

You do know there's different types of clouds and one type can go up to 75000 ft?

dry marlin
#

75000 ft bro??

#

okay, i can trust you a cloud appears at 22.8km

#

i cant trust you whatsoever a STORM CLOUD appears in extreme density at 23km, and is actually taller than that

#

a cumulonimbus (storm cloud) forms at up to 60.000ft

#

not 75.5k

Time is scaled by 1:30

#

So multiply horizontal scaling by 30 and you get the canonical map size

#

and it lines up decently well with aircraft range as well

cirrus at 20 km 💔

fix this shit valve or whoever actually owns aero

You've got to be cirrus
