remember when we had a keybind for a cabin lights? Imagine we had the back and mappable key binds for all the other lights! now you may be asking “hey…don’t we have the panel now?” Well the panel takes up space and that’s BAD and sometimes kinda annoying when doing realistic flights as I follow a guide made by me (as seen in the picture) and it would make it quicker and easier to press a keybind to turn off your strobes than opening the panel (that takes up space) and then pressing the button than closing it just to open it back up not even a minute later. All in all doing this would be a great quality of life feature and by making it mappable you have the ability to put them in any order and also while saving screen space and time!!

#

and to the devs you already had the script for the cabin lights and you have the scripts for the other lights so all you guys gotta do is copy and paste that (and maybe change some scripts) and either set the keybinds in a line or make optionally a mappable keybind system 🙏

You still can turn the on/off on the panel, and since you need a graphic for them and quite different levels of altitude it kinda proves that they’re not first necessity to take keybinds which are very limited

isn't it a bit small

frosty pine
#

I just remember them off memory since thats partly what i studied in uni

#

At gate, navlights (& logo lights if any)

#

About to turn on engines, add beacons

#

About to taxi, add taxi lights (not in aero so far)

#

About to enter runway, add strobes

#

On runway, add landing lights

#

After landing, remove one by one the other way around

#

But regarding the suggestion...

#

The multi-function panel UI itself was added to eliminate using keybinds at the first place

#

MSFS, X-Plane & any other dedicated flightsim doesnt have you bind every switches, knobs & levers to every key on your keyboard

#

And because aero so far lacks such virtual cockpit, the multi function panel is the workaround

#

Its like looking up to your Overhead Panel for a while then looking forward again

they have a mouse to click those buttons

Heck, all camera modes except 3 & 4 does not need you to keep your cursor in the middle to fly level

Aero has the same mouse yoke as FSX if you press Backspace
