not to brag, but I have a 4080, and I still manage to get only 50 fps at clarence, so think it's rather the memory usage than the graphics
roblox is more dependent on cpu
And I have an i9
and I get average 65 fps in aeronautica, which is really weird, so I think it's the server's memory usage causing the lag

It's mainly the server's memory issue, since I have my other pc that only has a ryzen 5 and it's still 50 fps with the same graphic settings

Then why did the devs use actual smoke particles for the smokes instead of implementing to the contrails?
i just feel that the pngs used for contrails currently are suboptimal

just use a random old jet plane and adjust your view to the back

aeronautica isn't using any smoke particles at all, only to those at scenery
matter of fact, aeronautica in the past did use the smoke particle, changed to pngs to save performance, as well as aesthetic
smoke particles are produced in dots and not in a line unlike the current smokes you see in today's aeronautica
meaning, if ur laggy, ur smokes will have a very noticable spacing in between

I still remember when the current style of contrails were new and everyone just… knew this as fact.
Contrails used to be smoke particles
Turns out, their range is terrible, inconsistent in numbers
Performance is questionable, leaves gaps especially at higher speeds
Great for seeing when you are lagging though.
Though that was less a conscious design decision and more just the particles being awful.
This would absolutely kill FPS
Even the exhaust smoke already puts a damper
so make it as a setting (probably) so player can disable it
devs are evidently against adding settings for stuff like this

yea no full throttle in my stratofortress with the smoke drops my fps by like 30
this would kill the game performance for such a small change
