A delivery flight, but with a twist. Instead of starting at a factory, you start at Solada and fly to a factory. From there, it will generate a delivery flight job that 2 players on the server could use.
This would mainly apply to:
Planes that were retired IRL (i.e 727-100, 720, 737-100, etc)
Variants of a plane that would be out of production in the modern day (i.e 737-500, MD-85, DC-10-10)
Or planes that are engine replacements/conversions (Super series DC-8, Convair CV-580, Super 727, etc).
Also obviously like the 787-8 this would only apply to niche variants that wouldn’t otherwise fit in the game. The examples provided are NOT me saying they should be locked behind a job and are just there to give an idea of what I mean.

This is a very good idea
holy this is peak
Yep.
Retirement jobs could also be a neat thing for the Solada rework.
Unlocking like the DC-2 or DC-9-10
that would be cool
omw to camp in solada
special retirement/reactivation jobs would be peak
real
Would go hand in hand with the challenge mode suggestion from a while back
You could even go nuts with it and make some conversions require a special job that unlocks as soon as the time requirement is met
Convair CV-580, 727-100, 737-100, 737-500, MD-85, and super DC-8 series when-
Also, excellent suggestion.
I approve of swag.

let rice cook
Yes

FINDING MARIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-
and also including
DC-9 superfamily and DC-8 family uv kits when!
same
Interesting idea, though why exactly does it fly to a factory, rather than the airline's home base?
don't mean this as a gotcha moment or anything, I'm not very well versed in how reactivation flights work
i would assume it's because a plane moving from a scrapyard is probably bare bones and airline-specific manufacturing requirements such as paint, interior, etc. would have to be done by the factory shipping out planes to airlines
thats my guess though
so like factory buys old plane from scrapyard for reactivation, modifies it for an airline, and then ships plane out to airline's hub
it probably isn't directly from scrapyard to home base or factory, but a maintenance facility
obviously you can just slap a maintenance facility next to a factory to make things simpler
kinda like Manila being a maintenance facility for A380s but obviously not a factory
It would need a heavy maintenance check before being delivered, in addition to any interior changes or fixes.
The scrapyards often only get the planes bare minimum airworthy after being mothballed, and then fly them to an MRO for actual maintenance work.
Best recent example is Globals’ A380, which was reactivated from the Mojave then flew to a UK MRO a with its gear down for the heavy maintenance work on its gear, then flew to a different MRO for interior work.
Very very rarely can a plane be taken from the boneyard to an airline, and in those cases it’s usually like COVID or a sudden reactivation shortly after being mothballed
same lol
tenang has some hangars but idk what they are
The norman remodel would be a good opportunity to add the mojave boneyard
oh yeah
Then this job can be added to it and planes can be flown to merlani
it can be like the license jobs where you have to stop at airports
There canonically is a company there that does cargo conversions to airliners so i assume refurbishment is also on the agenda
Mojave to maintenance hangar to airline hub
could be a high paying job
might take around the time surveilance takes and maybe almost same payout so that those who dislike military jobs and are commercial mains can also grind wp somehow
Esp since job chains can take hours to become profitable
this would be amazing
