It would make the game more challenging; Plane starts shaking to different directions, offset by maybe a couple degrees like 1º-5º. Could also be more common in low conditions, below service ceiling, small planes, and bad weather like high speed winds. would even force more players to fly higher and longer as needed

#

Does this count as realistic damage/failures?

No correlation with damaging with the aircraft, maybe a little, but not noticable, only interference to it

#

Since we have the screen shaking when overspeeding, we can reuse it to the turbulence

enough to annoy afk

Agreed

#

This doesn't really destroy them, it's their fault if they crashed since they're not in Supervision

I was going to say this would allow autopilot to be balanced since you could be afk grinding only to return to a rubble, but autopilot handles turbulence automatically

For me this can be applied when behind an aircraft with a higher capacity, we don't have a value for how big or strong the engines are so instead we have capacity as a reference to their size

small planes feel more turbulence because of its surface area

air physics would be hard to implement

alright im going to sleep for 8 hours

I remember seeing this on the trello (before it got carpet bombed) once

this would be interesting

yes please

I oppose because flying low at high speeds is already difficult
Realistic turbulence with aero’s physics would probably make it straight up impossible

#

It's not about skill it's letting the plane do what it wants and let RNG decide your fate

I agree with this post, it's quite boring just flying the aircraft straight without challenges.

Also, fighters shouldn't experience much turbulence

#

they're maneuvrable

short wing designs

i really dont know how to feel about turbulence ngl

#

because i do feel like it would mess up a lot of stuff

Something like "turbulence: 0.1" which scales the turbulence effect on each plane

blazing dome
#

What we rlly need is a durability stat for each plane

#

To make SSTs more volatile and larger planes better for long grinds

Or PTS

straight up impossible
