i was going weird over amcore calling it the yakovlev mc-21 but now...
This is why teachers don’t let us use Wikipedia as a source
because articles can be written by anyone?
(or edited)
what
in 2023 Irkut rebranded to Yakovlev
skibidi
wikipedia links its sources at the bottom of the page, i guarantee you somewhere in the wiki page for the aircraft it mentions the rebranding and provides a source

I think it was also planned to be called the Yak-242, but instead they rebranded to Yakovlev, probably means we won't get to see the Yak-242 though
Aswell changing into Irkut
no, its cuz they want u to read something more analytical
uses wikipedia sources

The question is whether the docs are up-to-date or not
My uni has two BAe 125s & theyre still referred to as "HS125" because their Maintenance Manual is literally from before Hawker Siddeley merged to form BAe
And i can tell that my classmates who arent avgeeks arent even aware that Hawker Siddeley as an airplane manufacturer is no more
i was saying y teachers dont want u using wikipedia as a source
idk about nomnclature, and as long as u cited the manual people should get wut u mean
they dont want you using wikipedia itself as a source, you can use the sources listed on there though
the only reason why they dont let you use wikipedia as a source is because its a collection of information from many sources
Or in some cases, some statements are made-up or simply a conclusion
I tried using sources Wikipedia used for a thesis, I had to read through the sources before quoting them
Because some statements simply did not have a citation or straight out not mentioned in the original material
shut yo
wikipedia articles are moderated
WHAAAT (shit wrong reply mb)
they do!?
Hawker Siddeley became British Aerospace, and then British Aerospace became BAE Systems, remember?
i meant to reply to this
Training aid
training for qhat
We're Airplane Maintenance Diploma students
so they take actual planes in
But given their wear & tear and how many literally inexperienced hands on it both are basically fucked in terms of condition
guh
