Alexeyev SM-1/СМ-1

The SM-1 was the first of many WIG aircraft developed by Alexeyev for the Soviet Union. The SM-1 had its first flight in July of 1961. The SM-1 continued to do tests until it’s unfortunate destruction in 1962. Despite this, the SM-1 helped the Soviet Union create multiple Ekranoplans such as the KM testbeds and the A-90.
