The first plane of the turkish air force
The Vecihi was designed by Vecihi Hurkus in 1923 and was intended to fly be used for training and reconnaissance.Construction started in june of 1924 and finished later that year.Vecihi tryed to get a permit to fly the plane and failed but he flew it anyways in 1925. The maiden flight lasted 15 minutes and had a 60kg sandbag in the backseat to simulate a copilot but when Vecihi landed he recieved a jail sentence and got the plane confiscated for flying wothout a permit and he could never get it back.
