#A way to see event/staff vehicles in livery viewer (password system)

Problem:
As more event/staff vehicles are getting added, dev/event plane owners need a proper way to see liveries for them. Adding them to livery viewer is not a good idea because other players will be able to play around with them.

Solution:
I suggest adding a password system (like with ATC event servers) so staff and event plane owners can make liveries without having to pay for applying it. Because sometimes it takes 5-10 attempts to make a good livery, and uh i think that applying a livery on a staff/event aircraft is more expensive than on a public aircraft.

It could be done by adding a window where you have to type in a password which is either made up by a dev who spawns event planes in players’ hangars or by the game (displayed in maintenance window)(it requires more work to be done).

Pros:

  • making liveries for staff/event vehicles will be easier
    Cons:
  • too much work for such a feature ig

Having the ability to view event planes on the viewer if you own it is a fair idea, though couldn't you just try out the livery in Aero and not hit apply?

This is a result of a recent change that moved vehicles being stored clientside (you) to the server (roblox). This greatly reduces loading times because each vehicle no longer has to be loaded by your computer when you join the game.

The downside is that Roblox has not yet implemented the ability for us to specify properties of the aircraft models stored server-side. This includes models when displayed both in the dealership and cross-server stream aircraft. Normally, the parts you see as invisible or see-through are marked as double-sided. This issue does not affect the vehicle in question once you spawn it normally in-game.

This issue will slowly (slowly) be rectified through model updates.
