The models / meshes can't simply be crushed or compressed
maybe its possible to put like a water effect in place of the model imploding
like a underwater explosion i suppose. just around the submarine
ill draw a demostration
its very rough but theres like fireball and like shockwave i suppose underwater
as a crash
dont forget the bubles
like in sponge bob transition

Can u resize a model, not mesh, nor union and folder, by one of the axis? (By length, width, or height wise)

There’s a scale properly but that applies to all directions
Obviously I’m not a dev for the game so I don’t know how everything is rigged and I’m just spitting nonsense 
Not sure if this is possible, but its mesh should collapse inwards live in a way similar to what you see in HL2 Episode 2.
For context, || there is a scene where an Advisor just straight up crushes a barrel for some reason before letting you go after its life support system stops working. ||

I think you don't get the context. I've played the game and completed it once, though I'm not gonna load in a map with console commands to record a short video. Maybe consider watching a walkthrough and go to the part when the Advisor crushes the barrel?

I think submersibles of any types will be denied anyways since they don't have good range independently and oftenly hauled to points of interest via mothership, unlike submarines
unless research vessel has deployable player controlled submersible/ROV smth like that though still pointless since there's no underwater terrain
