Shrugbot Seaplane Suggestion #71
to make up for the disaster that was my previous suggestion... I’m sorry
Flying Boat
The Latécoère 523 was a large military flying boat produced in France during WW2.
Being derived from the 521 and 522 flying boat airliners, the 523 was primarily designed for maritime patrol and transportation. The design was fairly conventional for seaplanes of the time, sporting a large wing with 4 tractor and 2 pusher propellers.
3 units of the 523 were produced, which saw service throughout the war. Unfortunately, no examples survive in the present day.
