#Fake Interior; For Buildings and Cockpits

Why: To add depth to windows and details to buildings, as well as making the interior of a plane
How: Using viewports and a cube with interior pngs / low poly interior, similar to that of how cockpits are done

Pros:

  • Details and interiors

Cons:

  • Uses some memory, lags when too much, may be complicated
  • Only on 2d(?) planes

very cool however we don’t want to turn devices into IEDs

#

plus i don’t think we need quite that level of detail, if we just eventually update the textures we use on buildings it’ll be enough

it seems to perform well on a single building face

#

closest thing to this post yeah, use images instead of viewport which lags more

#

delivers similar detail since we don't realy need to add further depth when viewing from afar
