The PZL.44 Wicher was a Polish Prototype Airliner designed to compete with Lockheed's Electra series and the Douglas DC-2. It was the first modern airliner designed in Poland. Despite LOT Polish ordering 10, they realized of how expensive it was, decreasing it to 4, then only cancelling the order just to have 1 aircraft built for them. LOT Polish then bought Lockheed Electras as their operation features are better to comprehend than the PZL.44. In the end, only one was ever made as the airliner became unprofitable.
