Chinese two-seat single engine trainer aircraft, developed in the late 1950's and commonly mistaken as a Yakovlev Yak-18A. Over 3,000 examples have been built since 1958, including export sales to Albania, Bangladesh, Cambodia, North Korea, Tanzania, and Sri Lanka. It's also a popular hobby plane, with civilian operators of the type in numerous countries.
