Basically, if you have an engine failure, the game automatically finds the nearest airport with enough capacity (or a long enough runway) and will ask if you wish to divert for reduced pay (75% less). This bonus would only apply if the diversion airport:

  1. Is not the departure airport.
  2. Is not within 20 nmi of the departure airport.

This just encourages people to realistically divert instead of going "guess I'll die" when getting an engine failure. Also means the job isn't a total write off.
Plus its a Navaid, giving you a rough idea of what airports in the region can accomodate your plane.

it also means if ur doing long haul jobs in a long job chain you can intentionally fly long enough to blow an engine to get diverted and make more money for your distance Skrolled

Yeah I was gonna have it half the job pay and then I thought of people abusing it like that

But also with the enhanced damage systme that makes you pay for broken engines, it would ditto disincentivise doing that
