The Bell Model 61, or Bell HSL, is a tandem rotor design made by Bell, in fact, it was the only tandem rotor designed by the company. The HSL featured multiple issues with its manufacturing, and out of the 234 issued, only around 50 made it pass construction. The Bell M61’s purpose was for aerial observation and anti-submarine warfare.
