I know its been suggested before, but I have reasoning for it.
Is sailing ships to grind WP quickly worth it?
It can largely depend on the effort you would put into other strategies, but if you want to sail ships, then to me, owning and sailing boats generally isnt worth it if you’re trying to grind lots of WP quickly. (Within a matter of days.)
I started playing Aeronautica (seriously) at the same time as my friend, and he has been making hundreds of thousands of WP (on week 1) through part auctioning.
I took a different route of playing to him, vying to stick to commercial airliners, and then move to boats so I could buy more.
And, where am I going with this?
My problem is, is that there’s no point of going afk for 15 hours to earn 350k WP if he can earn more in just 3 hours.
This is taking me away from wanting to sail ships, and likely this has the same effect on others too.
If boat income was increased, players would be more likely to use them as they would actually be useful.
So, how about leaving your PC at night and crate hunting in the day?
while some people can just have their pc on at night for ship grinding, some can’t too, making what they choose to spend time on making money important.
And, if ships are considerably less profitable, the only reason I can see people who are trying to make WP using them is that they cant be bothered to crate hunt.
But Hungry, isn’t this a good thing?
In some peoples eyes, and especially people defending keeping the income how it is, they may see this as a pro, allowing users multiple ways of making WP.
Which is indeed a good thing, though I believe it would be more fair on players who use ships, which includes myself, that income were to be increased by a percentage, roughly 40-50% to not make ships massively better with income, but to a level which is slightly more competitive and will possibly be enough to make more people choose ships over crate hunting to gain WP.
