So instead of the regular point-to-point jobs currently in-game, the return flight job would work more like a real flight would. The player would start the job from the airport they are at, fly to the airport of destination and return to the starting airport. This would, in my humble opinion, add a little bit more realism in the game, for what it's worth. A return flight job would be a uncommon/yellow job and will earn 2.5-3 times the cash and WP of a normal point-to-point job. The downside is that this job of course takes twice as much time, so it would be less favorable for job chaining.
Job events would work the same as point-to-point jobs, but for only one way of the trip (if it isn't too hard to implement, I gave up on coding after 5 classes
). This would mean an event would multiply the first leg of the flight by say 2.5x in earnings, but the return flight would be normal earnings, or the other way around. This would prevent it from being too profitable to fly return flights during job events.
Pros:
- Makes more money short-term
- More realism for airline roleplay
Cons:
- Takes longer to complete a flight
- Job chaining would be slowed down, meaning less money in the long-term
Feedback is of course welcome, I didn't think all of it through and there's probably more than enough points to improve on
Edit: Maybe only for passenger flights only, since cargo flight usually don't do return flights. Can still be implemented for both tho
