you just hit import .nif, choose the extracted .nif file, and bam, you've got the model in blender

I'll be finishing up the Fallout 4 power armor pack soon, I'm on gif making duty now that Kay has set up all the armors using my shader.
Unless someone has a way better way of doing that than what I had in mind.

Any humanoid rig should generally work as long as your not having to rig it on top of an existing asset.
You would just need to remove all constraints from the rig.
As IK constraints do not transfer over.
You can also remove all the IK bones at that point.
where do i go to remove the constraints?
Look for constraints in the tabs for a bone, specifically in pose mode as that will show the constraints.

You have to go into the humanoid bone config menu and set the correct bones up but after that, it should.
Does the pack have all the bones needed to open the armor? the bone on the valve doesn't seem to be connected to anything and this bone's pivot point doesn't seem right
It should have all of the bones that came with the game and then any custom bones on top for use with the IK constraints.

The in-game rig should be in the pack, you'd have to use that as the bases for your own VRChat rig

Hey idk if anyone else is having this issue or it's just me but whenever I try and render an image using the model it either closes Blender or causes my PC to restart

try deleting any unused sets of power armor
and then cleaning up unused

and once thats done do cleanup
make sure to repeat the cleanup thing until it says nothing is left btw

go to edit and then preferences
go to the system tab, and click one of the available render engines
then enable your gpu
once thats done, go to the scene tab and make sure instead of CPU its on GPU

It was for a posing program akin to blender and stuff. Iβd say like half the Mass Effect renders for instance were XPS based beyond the SFM ones
Iβm having trouble opening the blend file as it wonβt load and will just close automatically
Loading error with blender 4.1, you may need to try mutiple times to open up the .blend
or just append the collection within the blend file to a empty blend file

The Heartbreaker armor isn't in the "Atomic Shop" section of either the fan or "offical" 76 wikis π
Like the Red Rocket it's considered "Player Armor Paint" and not "Power Armor Paint" so that's probably why I missed it.

Usually to make an API site you need an accessible address that is sending data back and forth between the game client and the game server, but I doubt their is one known for Fallout 76.
Although undoubtebly, their may be one hiding in the configuration files for the game.

As a question, are there textures/masks for the emissions for the different armor pieces? The headlamps are easy enough to do, but thinks like the X-01 or X-02 have unique emissions for the eyes

The emission for the X-01 are a separate model, they technically don't have emissions in 76 though when I do a update to this pack I'll double check just too make sure.

Managed to figure out a replication for the X-01 at least. Uses a smaller material, unrelated to the 76 shader.
Eye emission is its own mesh built off of vertices taken from the mesh itself, with one level of subdivision surface, and solidify

Should be easy enough, Fallout 4 has tons of them, and FO4 and FO76 power armor tends to share the same UVs if they're from the same game

No. I replicated the emission shader/object entirely.
So that should theoretically mean a massive amount of control over how bright the emission is, and how prominent it is across the eyes

Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 use the same UV maps for the same assets. All I needed to do was add a new node group which used the Enclave textures from the mod
