I noticed that when I changed some parts regarding colors in the translation, it looked better if Will used red to represent the old name/description and green to represent the new name/description. And if possible, I also encourage changing the color of the arrow as shown in the image below.

hey, so you can do this for your server but the official translations must be consistent across all locales so if you’re planning on submitting the updated locales please don’t 🙂

I can certainly look at doing that but I’d need to do so for all the languages

Quick question regarding this. If I’ve made customisation to my language by changing only colours/formatting. Will these changes get replaced when there is an update or do you only replace the core when updating?

Nothing will happen automatically

In the update notes I mention if you need to regen your locales

If you see that, then yes you will need to go through and update them. The proceedure is:

  • Copy old locale file to a new name ("messages-en-GB_OLD.yml" or similar)
  • Restart server, let new locale file generate
  • Copy old locales line-by-line to old file, and make adjustments where there are new locale changes
