I'm also having issues seeing my chat box. I've manually gone through all of the possible settings with this newest version, and nothing is fixing it. I have to turn off 7TV in order to be able type anything into chat.

Well, it's a shame that it doesn't have many features, but what should you do if the previous 7TV doesn't work? So far, the only option is the version I downloaded.

I only have 3 extensions. 7TV, Adobe for pdf viewing, and Google docs. None of those should be affecting the other
