Highlights don't work how you set them too, even when all highlights are off they stay on with the box around the messages.

These are not 7TV highlights, it is Twitch their own highlights. The new extension highlights look the same as Stable/Nightly
Click the settings cog under chat input box -> Chat Highlights -> Disable them

that did remove the boxes ty, however now im curious; was the full highlight a 7tv thing? where it colored the whole box?
cause that doesnt seem to turn on when i turn them on
for some reason neither the paints nor the highlights work then, i know at least one other user that paints also arent working for
