yeah that fixed it. for some reason i got it to work temporarily by joining another stream, then coming back to the one i was already in but then the chat was in a strange font I havent seen before

I did that but still doesn't work for me for refreshing couple times or more on Chrome. Trying to find FFZ to disable it. I need to cool down first and then come back to try again. LOL.

i used ffz to change my chat backround to black #00000 . since i had to take ffz off is there a way to change the color on 7tv

I disabled the FFZ on my Chrome Extensions on Chrome browser. It worked.

Actually you can get around this conflict bug.
What worked for me?
Instead of going to you fav streamer, join stream of someone else AND THEN to you fav streamer, chat's gonna work - but dissapears if you f5
