My friend and I tried to add emojis to his twitch, but he doesn't see my folder, which already has ready-made emojis. Although I can activate my emojis on his channel. Or is it impossible for 2 people to manage 1 emoji folder?

Yes people can edit others emote set as long as they have editor and the right permissions. So he has to make you editor first and then you have to accept it. And then as long as both of you have an emote set enabled, then you may (once you both accept each others editor request)

Emote Sets are assigned to a profile they were made on. If YOU have the emote set then your friend needs editor perms on your profile to edit it. Your Emote Sets can be set as active on any profile.
Tho I recommend using potatbotat or any other bot to clone your set to streamers profile
cause if for example your friend will want to add an emote to their channel - it would need to be added to all using your emote set (if emote set from your profile will be set as active)
