sand cloud
#

#

normally it goes by in 1 second

#

or less

#

ive uploaded a bunch

#

and it worked

tame quarry
#

I’m not sure now

sand cloud
#

but today this doesnt work at all

#

the ones up above worked fine

tame quarry
#

Not sure now

fading nebula
#

What filetype are you trying to upload?

tame quarry
#

Yes yes listen to chriscreams

sand cloud
#

gif

#

i tried different devices, different browser, different network

#

doesnt work when uploading from phone using mobile data. Or on pc using ethernet.

#

Browser on PC is Opera and safari on phone

fading nebula
#

poroHmm hmm, gif. Can you try converting it to webp through ezgif for example? There very rarely are cases where certain GIF attributes lead to the image processor having issues

#

ah well, thinking about it, probably won't help, because it doesn't even gets uplaoded to the image processor. But still maybe worth a try

sand cloud
#

changed

#

it

#

nothing

#

its the exact same

fading nebula
#

can you check your browser console through pressing F12 if it shows any errors in there when you try uploading a file?

sand cloud
#

f12 opens a new broser for me but ill try cehcking console

#

there

#

this exact error

#

i just tried it again and saw that update

fading nebula
#

hmm, could you provide the file you are trying to upload here please?

sand cloud
fading nebula
#

ok, it must have something to do with the file, because I run into the same problem as you LUE

#

@plucky spire you might need to have a look at this

sand cloud
#

nah

#

cus

plucky spire
#

Thank you verey much

sand cloud
#

i have a file now

plucky spire
#

I will report for a fix

sand cloud
#

a diffferent file

#

that i was able to upload before

#

but now when i retry it same error

plucky spire
#

We have been doing some fixes on our backend and it affected external links on our website. This included all data:blob...

#

I will report this asap

sand cloud
#

and it worked then

plucky spire
#

Looks like your browser sometimes converts the file into base64 for local uploading before API uploading. Which blocks it sometimes

#

Thank you for the report. Will get fixed asap

sand cloud
#

so both the browser have that issue?

#

cus i have the same exact thing on mobile

plucky spire
#

No worries

#

I know the bug

#

And it shall be fixed asap

sand cloud
#

ok that sucks that its a thing

#

can u upload it to my account in the meantime?

#

with magic

plucky spire
#

No

#

You can convert the gif into a WebP

sand cloud
#

i did

plucky spire
#

that will fix the issue in the meantime

sand cloud
#

same thing

#

it didnt

plucky spire
#

Can you provide me the original file?

sand cloud
#

this is the webp

plucky spire
#

I tried the gif above it's above 7MB's

sand cloud
#

this is the gif

#

Both exact same error

#

its 2 different ones

#

and when i click webp

#

same exact thing

#

wont upload

#

just keeps spinning

#

im gona take a shower if theres no fix during

#

thanks for looking into it

plucky spire
#

Even ffmpeg having issues converting the file

#

You faced 2 issues while trying:

  • You got blocked by our API policy which is fixable on our end and will be fixed either tonight or tomorrow
  • The file you're trying to upload is half-corrupted. Which isn't being accepted by our image processor
#

I will send you a file right now that'll work

orchid plaza
#

or as bruce lee would say...

#

wataaaa

#

honestly instead of gifs, you're better off finding the original clip in video form, and uploading that instead

#

it'll be way smaller AND higher quality

plucky spire
#

The gif is corrupted for sure

sand cloud
#

Its not just that gif

plucky spire
#

ffmpeg can't convert it into anything

sand cloud
#

A gif i have used before also doesnt work

#

U can check my profile and see it exists on ur servers

plucky spire
sand cloud
#

Its not a video and i ddi the exact same and it worked

plucky spire
#

Even ezgif can't recognize it which uses other libs that's not ffmpeg

#

The way the gif was converted was wrong

#

imma use lipvips

sand cloud
#

I used the site u told me to though

#

Like i used the original gif

#

Then ezgif to the new version

#

Then downloaded that webp

plucky spire
#

Nono it's not your fault. The original gif was corrupted in some way. And while converting it faced the same issue yet proceeded with the conversion. Which lead into 2 corrupted files by ffmpeg

#

Ok after some more investigation. the gif is fine. We having an issue with large gif's being uploaded. even tho it didn't hit the max limit. We are getting this fixed asap.

#

We are sorry in advanceFeelsOkayMan

bright hearth
#

plucky spire
#

bright hearth
#
