Twitch emote cards/expanded tooltips don't load properly when I click on them half of the time. Sometime I will click an emote to see its channel name or author, but none of it loads, only the larger sized emote and its name. Some emotes will load their card properly, and some won't.
I am on Brave browser, I have tried clearing all website and extension data, but this persists.
Top image shows the issue, bottom shows expected. This is also present on regular twitch global/sub emotes.

Brave shield can cause issues with 7tv could try disabling it and see if the problem persist

Yes, it still exists. I'm having the exact same issue. Have been for 1-2 weeks. I have not noticed any consistent patterns except as noted below.
I have some screenshots. I'll put together what I've learned.
If the emote is from the channel you're watching, the card works every time. For both static and animated emotes:
If the emote is from another channel, it usually doesn't work. Sometimes it does, but usually it doesn't. I haven't noticed any consistent pattern of which channels do and don't work, nor whether it matters if the emote is animated or static.

Oh, another thing I just noticed for completeness. I didn't get a screenshot. The card works properly for emotes from one channel I'm subscribed to used on another channel I'm watching. Even if the emote is not used by me.

Upon further observation, I agree that it is on Twitch's end. See below.
I was doing some testing with 7tv disabled, and it often fails to grab the info the first time I click on an emote.
However, if I close that box and click on it a second time, it consistently succeeds at grabbing the default Twitch card.
It never succeeds the second time when 7tv is installed.
So, my question is: Is it possible to turn off the 7tv emote card and have it default to the standard Twitch one? At least I can eventually get it to work with the default card.

I didn't see anything like that in the settings. I saw Chat > Tools > Improve the User Card, but that only restores the default card for the user name, not emotes.
