#Emotes Broken In Extension/Chat/Website

I've done my due diligence of searching and trying past solutions that have been given on this issue, but nothing seems to be resolving it. As the title says, emotes are broken across multiple areas.

  • Live in US. Using Firefox
  • Flushed DNS and changed IPv4 & IPv6
  • Cleared cache & cookies
  • indexedDB.deleteDatabase("seventv") command in console
  • All extensions disabled besides 7TV & FFZ
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled 7TV extension multiple times

Has there been any defined solution for this? I've been dealing with it for weeks because it pops in and out in terms of working or not.

Thank you!

#

I should also note, I've been using 7tv for a few years in the same browser and setup, but this started happening prob no more than a month ago. Even on the old 7tv website, they break.

check if you have this entry in hosts file and remove it

That website shows a blank page with nothing on it

Flushed DNS and changed IPv4 & IPv6

#

you tried changing dns to 1.1.1.1 for example?

#

Followed your numbers for both

full stump
#

does it work on your phone for example? or any other device Hmm

#

to check whether this could be isp issue or just your device

Clicking through the pages on the 7tv website via my phone does seem to work fine. Connected to my WiFi

#

Well actually that was via the old site. New site isn't working

full stump
#

it's one of cdn direct ip

#

yeah but seems like your isp might be blocking connection to our cdn for some reasonfeelsd

#

if it only happens on your wifi

#

you could try cloudflare warp or a vpn and it most likely will work

#

but we can't really do anything with it on our side

idle skiff
#

That does appear

#

I will say they have fully loaded in my extension, but it was after a few minutes of it just staying open to load? Not sure if that's significant of anything

I'll have to get you those results in a few hours when I'm back on my computer

#

oh

#

that's weird

idle skiff
#

Almost like half of them load at the start while half just don't fablesLUL

full stump
#

maybe you got assigned ip of a really slow cdn instance Hmm

idle skiff
#

Just odd cause that's only been happening the past month. Before they never had that problem

#

At one point I did try to have everything run through FFZ but even that ran into just the 7tv emotes not loading

idle skiff
#

I see it's using the address from what I put in my ethernet settings

full stump
#

maybe the issue is that it tries to resolve ipv6 address

try with nslookup cdn.7tv.app 1.1.1.1, u can also change 1.1.1.1 to other DNS servers like google 8.8.8.8

in browser now

idle skiff
#

That is appearing now

full stump
#

yeah and emotes should load fine now

#

curious if that's something on our side tho or yours Hmm

#

since the issue seems to be with ipv6

idle skiff
#

Solution for now is to leave IPv6 off then I take it?

full stump
#

I guess, or if you somehow could tell windows to prioritize ipv4 over 6

#

not sure if thats possible

idle skiff
#

If there's anything I can do to help or anything you need me to run, more than happy to provide.

#

I greatly appreciate the help though!

# full stump I guess, or if you somehow could tell windows to prioritize ipv4 over 6

https://kb.firedaemon.com/support/solutions/articles/4000160803-prioritising-ipv4-over-ipv6-on-windows-10-and-11
its do-able, but ipv6 to me is still new and problematic, its fine to keep it off

idle skiff
#

So not to reopen this, but everything is back to not working even with the IPv6 unchecked. The cdn.7tv.app website isn't working again

#

@full stump

#

Cmd prompt works, but can't access it via browser

warped seal
#

if it works, u can use the service_.cmd file to install it as a service so it will autostart whenever you login your pc, dont need to manually open.
you can also play around with different DNS in the config (pic)

#

also, if u use VPN, u might want to turn GoodByeDPI off, personally I cant connect to the internet with both of them on

I'm also have same problem but with zapret on linux. Any help or troubleshoot steps?
