Hello,
I have set to highlight users with roles to easily see them.
How does 7TV decide which color to use for a user with multiple roles, such as Moderator + Verified? Is there a priority list that can be tweaked?
What does "Version" do? I was not able to find any guides or tips about this function.

i'm not sure about the priority, i'd assume it's the same as how they're ordered in that list.
Some twitch badges have multiple versions, like the OWL, cheer and gift badges, so the version determines which one it uses.

it is not according to the order i have, nor the sequence in their username.
for example Streamelements have Mod then Verified.
But it would highlight purple instead of green.

From what I remember it takes the last Highlight that was configured over all 3 types of Highlight categories 
but yeah, a priority system is definitely needed for the future
