So I've been having problems with 7tv for a while, it will work if I use a VPN but won't work without it, can't access the site or see emotes either, any idea on a fix?

yup, still nothing, I've tried the 7tv extension and FFZ but it just seems like it doesn't load the plugin but I also can't access the website without a VPN

what does it say without a vpn?

give me a moment while I open the page, it takes like 5 minutes before it times out sometimes

oh then it's probably just a timeout CaitThinking

but doesn't happen with a VPN, which is the weird thing, so idk if its my ISP blocking it, I've changed DNS settings, full rebooted my router and APs and even removed the 3rd party router

#

its weird that it just happened out of the blue when it was previously working

#

yup, just a timeout, I'm just not sure what is causing it

uhh i honestly don't know anything about this, hopefully someone else knows

if it works with a vpn on the same pc then most likely isp issue

#

I think you can check at which stage the connection fails by doing tracert 7tv.app in cmd

#

(don't screenshot it tho)

#

it should look something like this

Ok, so, I had originally typed out a message that I intended to send once I'd done a few things, which was basically run that command, which did originally fail over 50% of the passes, and then reboot my entire network (Router and PLAs) and update them to the newest firmware and report back, I'm going to hazard a guess that it was either my BT (UK ISP) router that I've got set in "Modem" mode, or the best you can get with their hardware, OR it was the update to my actual router that for some reason, has fixed the issue, I can access the site and the extension is now working, I genuinely have no idea why because I reboot all my hardware at least once a week via a schedule shrug
