Hello I changed my linked twitch account and now changed the emote set to be used on my newly linked account. The problem I encountered now is that the emote set gets changed on the old account eventhough it says that it will get changed on the new account. How do I fix this? the screenshot shows the chat on my old account. while the account name in the change notification is off the new account.

what exactly do you mean? the new twitch account is the only one connected to my 7TV account. the old one was unlinked from it.
