I tried to download 7TV from the website like normal but the site just keeps endlessly loading without any download happening when clicking the download button for the stable release.
Is there any way to download it directly?

You can try downloading it from the GitHub release, but in theory it should work from the website too https://github.com/SevenTV/Extension/releases/tag/v3.1.6
