I just deleted a set to make room for a different one, but I got LACKING_PRIVILEGES maximum emote set limit reached when making one to replace it

NNYS sets waste set slots

You can only have a maximum of 10 emote

#

Only the personal emotes set counts towards this, the nnys sets don't

you're not the owner of nnys sets, so it doesn't count

I think this 10 sets limit was a temporary solution for people creating too many emotesets making their accounts inaccessible. ESets were planned at one point to work differently, making them shareable etc - idk if that's still planned or not

#

I agree that it shouldn't count, but if that's only a temporary thing then fixing it won't be a priority

there isn't any argument to having this many sets, the feature is there to swap between holiday variants mainly and you still have room for a few more to copy or merge, if you're using them as collections of some sort you can always make an alt

So many things wrong with this statement. First, just because you dont think emote sets should be used as collections, doesnt mean its not a valid use case. Saying there "isnt any argument" is simply wrong. Second, proposing "you can always make an alt" is obviously not an actual solution, its a workaround which is pretty cumbersome for this case. Lastly deleting mosaics doesn't make any sense at all, people use them, and they're not offensive or anything, it makes no sense and is just another case of 7tvs overmoderation

emote sets exists so that they can be attached to a channel and reused, if you are ever using sets like familiE or wechat panda guy then sure, but they are just placeholders to find emotes of the same style rather than actually use them in a set

#

so sure, you can use them like that, but that's not what emote sets are for, so those sets are plenty enough

#

what you're doing would be more fitting for emote packs/collections but that should be definitely a separate feature rather than just another emote set

#

and for mosaics it's not a hard enforced rule but they take up space and are annoying, we dont really delete them retroactively but the big ones (like 9+ emotes) were deleted cause they are annoying and cause clutter

indigo iron
#

Yeah but "being annoying" shouldn't be a reason to delete emotes

#

I agree it should be a seperate feature but waiting for 7tv features is waiting for a miracle
