This emote is from the streamer Odablock. I have had to reupload it because it was unlisted automatically after a while. Then it worked again for like 2 weeks, now it's unlisted again - how come? It's him bouncing on a couch. It's arguably not that bad and is a meme in his chat. Can someone please explain why it keeps being unlisted and what's wrong with it?

“Him bouncing around on the couch” is crazy
It can still be added to his chat it’ll just be shown as unlisted for those who have “Show unlisted emotes” off
which is practically nobody
i genuinely do not think it is that crazy. could just be me. is there a guideline to what's okay to be publicly listed and what isn't?
if you are scared or distrubed by a grown and fully clothed man humping a couch then maybe you shouldn't be on a platform that promotes women in bikins making waves in their hottubs. hot take, i know
does it become unlisted because of manual review? someone comes across it and clicks the "hell nah" button or what?
and if so, how come its unlisted by default and becomes listed after a while - presumably after a manual review?
just doesnt make any sense to me.
further, it is only intended for use in his channel, which is where situations like the one in the emote occur on a regular basis. shouldnt that alone be reason enough to automatically deactivate it for every viewer that has the default settings applied? if you ever see this emote in a chat, odds are you are in the chat of the streamer that does it anyway. and if not, then you are watching a streamer with similar content. i dont see in what universe this emote should be unlisted
Show unlisted is on by default. So most people would still see the emote
it wasnt for me - i would still appreciate getting that question answered tho
every emote uploaded is set to unlisted by default until a mod reviews and approve it
if the emote is against 7tv's ToS it'll be deleted
if it's nsfw it'll stay unlisted. you can still see and use unlisted emotes if you enable the settings in the extension
is this emote considered nsfw? why was it unlisted, then listed, then unlisted again?
It was never listed tho
and emotes are unlisted by default when you upload
Odd, I could have sworn it was listed. So it's safe to assume someone has checked it and deemed it not worthy of being listed?
it would show here if it was listed and unlisted
one month ago, yeah. but i swear it was visible in chat to me and many others and now isnt. and i never touch my plugin settings
okay
so 1 month has passed
that means someone was like "hm, no" right?
yes
well i reuploaded it
after i came back to it after a couple months and saw it was unlisted
when there was the same case
emote was visible in chat, used by many
then it wasnt
i go and check, it says unlisted and conclude this is the issue
so i reuploaded it
hoping it was a mistake
well if it's unlisted then it is against our guidelines, maybe someone listed it by mistake previously
7tv extension shows unlisted emotes by default tho, unless you're a streamer
would you consider it to be against the guidelines?
I'm a trial and still learning what we list and don't
, but I can see why it would be unlisted
im finding a lot of emotes that id consider to be arguably much worse, but some of them say "personal use denied" im guessing thats worse than unlisted?
no, it just means it can't be used in personal sets. Which most of listed emotes can't
most of these emotes were made 1y+ ago
im not sure i get the pattern here.
it could change what we accept and don't
i think it would be helpful if emote creators got a notification if someone checked their emote and deemed it not listable
I agree with that
somewhere here
okay, so just to revist that real quick - its safe to assume someone looked at it and its not worthy of being listed?
and you cant help with that, right?
that's right
I can check if maybe it's still not accepted somewhere in the mod queue
but doubt it
reuploading same emote to try to bypass the previous decision will end up with upload restrict
you can report the existing one
