#Emotes loading very slowly after recent update

Recently after I updated my computer to Windows 11, and the new website for 7tv was released, when i search for emotes, they either load extremely slowly (taking multiple minutes to visibly appear) or don't load at all.

I've tried the hosts file fix at the bottom of the known issues compendium, to no avail.

The following messages appear in my browser console when attempting to use the 7TV website:

I have also noticed that some emotes are showing up as blank or loading very slowly in twitch chat as well, unsure if directly related or not.

I use firefox as my main browser, but I've also tried google chrome and it has the same issues for me.

The CDN is having issues and is being worked on

#

When did this start for you?

#

And what region are you from if you don’t mind me asking

30 seconds of waiting and it's still like this

Ty I really appreciate it! We are taking down the info and trying to pinpoint the issue

#

However I was having this issue myself but after trying something the loading decreased by a lot

#

I tried this even though I thought it would be outdated but it seemed to have fixed my issue.. I am not sure if it was because I activated ipv6 of it was a step in between but you can try this and do a chrome://restart and see if your loading is decreased

It's quite rare

edit I just checked and I actually do have ipv6

#

I just put the steps in and everything seemed to better itself out but it could just be a coincidence

#

It is for sure an issue with our CDN and it is being worked on like I said before, I really appreciate your info! and sorry the steps didn't work

Yeah there is probably nothing that can be done

locally

here's a little bit of info https://github.com/SevenTV/SevenTV/issues/209
enable ipv6 doesnt help at all
it also breaks my apple music so I prioritize ipv4 over it
the site is currently fast for me, but usually slow in the next 10h

GitHub

What seems to be the problem? When AAAA names are blocked, emotes load as normal. Had someone from across the world repro the issue, so it's not isolated to my locally resolved cdn address. I s...

My Apple Music doesn’t break with it weird erm

But like I said above I just did those steps and whatever happened in between my loading was decreased by a lot. I couldn’t even load emotes half the time in my twitch after a few mins it would just break

#

The loading I do get is on the site and it’s no more than like 5 seconds to load everything Hmm

#

That’s why I assumed ipv6 was the reason but maybe it was just a coincidence in timing with my own local network idk
